"Yes," Thorne confirmed, continuing with his history lesson while I pictured running my fangs over the smooth column of Lilith's neck just to feel her shudder, "but not in the way you would think. There was only ever one type of Fae. Until there wasn't. Dark fae began rising in numbers and even in the mirror world, there had to be a sense of balance. For example, vampires can't hunt in daylight because of the sun and werewolves lose their power during a blood moon."
