And this is how the last story about Light and Darkness that I wanted to present to you ends. It was certainly an extraordinary journey, showing different stories, but at the same time touching the same topic - can two such opposing poles as Light and Darkness connect at some point? I'll leave it to your own choice, but one thing is for sure - as Miyuki said in Book 4, wanting to stop the battle between vampires and wizards - Light and Darkness certainly couldn't exist without each other. If there was only Light but no Darkness, what would be its meaning? Likewise, if there was only Darkness in the world, wouldn't its existence be pointless without trying to "devour" the Light?

Lucian whispered, trailing his finger over her face. Finally, Lucian left the room. The book sat on the desk, its dark cover gleaming ominously. He could feel its pull, the promise of power and throne. But one thing rang in his mind, he had to find her, and for the first time, Lucian felt a glimmer of light. But the battle was far from over. The shadows within him stirred, restless and insistent, opposing him from making a stupid step again.

In fact, there was so much room between the size of the cover and the size of the pages that crystal tucked right up into the gap when she set the book on end. It was a perfect fit.

Which left me as the only sole shadow in the Crane House. Two, the Black family do not have any shadow descendants. That is, no one from the Black family has ever inherited shadow powers. As a matter of fact, their existence in the Order -apart from Raj's law- was because my great-grandfather Shane had to take his best friend Carl along for the ride when he fought the white light. Therefore, the only thing they did in The Order was keep records of each and every single family in the Order. They were one of six Houses in the world dedicated to just that. So technically speaking, they weren't really a House, more an honorary one.
