As I took a left and made my way down the aisle, the light began to dim, most of the library was empty but this corner didn’t have a single human. Faint beams filtered in from the windows, casting shadows across the shelves, I passed the Paranormal section, the darkness deepening, and a strange tension crept in as I continued down the aisle, the stillness growing heavier with each step. When I reached the makeshift door—just as Arabella had described—I froze mid-step. A soft sound floated through the silence, then it grew clearer… a low moan, I held my breath, my skin prickling as I stood there.
