Chapter 59: The Gathering Storm The darkness was growing. It was a subtle shift, a creeping tendril that reached out from the shadows, threatening to engulf the universe. Liam and Xal'dar could feel its presence, a cold, icy dread that chilled them to the bone. They had returned to their home, a small village nestled amidst the ruins of the old world. "It could be a way out." We start moving towards the light, our footsteps echoing in the quiet chamber. As we get closer, the light grows brighter, and we can see that it's coming from a small room at the end of the tunnel. We step into the room and find ourselves surrounded by shelves filled with books and strange artifacts. There's a small table in the center of the room, and on it, there’s a small, glowing orb. "What is that?" Damon asks, stepping closer to the table. "No idea," Hank says, studying the orb.

Her living room window allows her to see the beautiful night sky adorned with bright lights shaming the stars and even the moon. She imagines Nate and Nina looking at that same beautiful sky after having a lovely dinner while she dines on hot noodle and a cup of coffee. "I'm so pathetic. How did I become like this?" she asked herself. She's about to call for food delivery when Ivy's call came in. She already knows exactly what she's going to ask her. "I just talked to the TV producer. She's okay with the third book being launched in January next year. She told me they would broadcast the series in three weekends in February," Ivy said.

Rosemary’s Pov “I will eat later…” I say softly , offering him a smile. He exchanges a look with Xavier , but I do not stay for the lectures that I know is coming. Instead I walk to the entrance and sit on the floor in a crossed legged position – my eyes fixated on the fiery red flames that almost touches the sky. I sit out there for a while , enjoying the peace of being alone. At this moment , all I ever want is to be alone. I would often feel my stomach kick me with hunger , as my nose smelt the food that was cooking but I easily turned my attention back to the burning kingdom.

I looked back at the pages of the book, wrapping myself more closely in the gray scarf Oliver had given me for Christmas. However, I was not allowed to return to the land depicted in the story from my book, because I sensed a strangely familiar aura that was getting closer and closer to our property. My first thought was mother, because the structure of the aura was very similar, but a few details did not match. I put the book on the table and lifted the blanket from my lap, setting it aside, before giving Oliver a meaningful look. He must have sensed the aura as well, as was already taking Alex in his arms and then walking towards the gazebo, where Oliver sat him down on the bench next to m

Little light was better than no light at all. Reese Strahl was the first to tear up the blackness of the night. He let the cone wander over the floor, over leaves, rubbish that had not been properly disposed of, all the way to the corner where a few old wooden boxes were stacked directly against the wall.
