Where there was nothing but darkness. Rachel P. O. V. I felt like I was floating in the air. What happened??? Am I dead ??? So many questions were running through the answer to any one of them... Maybe I am dead that's why I feel at peace, why can't I open my eyes and see anything except for darkness ??? Maybe that's what death feels like !!! When finally I opened my eyes, all I saw was darkness... I was not even able to see myself... “Please help me, somebody !!!”

That one was very much evident. Where I was, everywhere I looked, everywhere my eyes landed on was nothing but pure and raw darkness. It was cold, bone-chilling and there was this eerie sensation that kept on washing over me, like cold fingers caressing my skin and making it crawl. And the funny thing was, I felt like I was floating. There was no ground beneath my feet, and my whole body was lighter than a feather. But in this darkness, nothing else existed. It was just me and the deep nothingness that had swallowed me. There was no pain, no joy, and the entire place was void of any sort of feeling.

I couldn't even see below my nose. I can feel the darkness, dense and suffocating, wrapping itself around me like a shroud. The silence is deafening, so absolute that I can almost hear my own heart beating. Fear is coursing through my veins, as though it were a living, breathing thing, and I can feel it coiling around me like a serpent.

My heart slows. Everything goes dark.

Darkness did not feel the way people described it. It wasn’t empty. It wasn’t peaceful. It wasn’t even silent. It breathed. That was the first thing Eliana noticed when consciousness slowly returned to her. The darkness around her felt alive, like a giant creature inhaling and exhaling against her skin. Cold wrapped around her body in heavy waves, pressing into her chest until breathing became difficult. For a terrifying second, she thought she was still sinking beneath the ground outside her mother’s house.

Ava’s POV Darkness. That’s all there was. It was this cold, never-ending, suffocating darkness that felt like it was pressing against me, creeping into every part of who I am. It wasn’t quite silent, it was heavier than that. It felt like a crushing emptiness, like the world had wiped me out, leaving just a shadow behind. With no sky, no ground and no breath. Just this overwhelming weight of emptiness. My body didn’t feel like it belonged to me anymore. I couldn’t move, couldn’t scream, couldn’t even remember how it felt to be alive. Maybe I wasn’t alive, maybe this was just what death was like.

The entire place was bleak, cold and completely dark. It was quiet and somber in there and I felt a chill as the darkness engulfed me when my eyes shot open. It was the most piercing darkness ever- it was not merely the darkness that came out of absence of light, it was much more sinister.

My thoughts slow, my mind growing heavy, as if the darkness is pulling me under, dragging me down into its depths. And then, just as suddenly as it began, the fall stops. I’m suspended in the void, weightless and adrift, my heart pounding in my chest. The darkness presses in around me, but it no longer feels threatening. Instead, it’s almost… comforting. Like a blanket, soft and warm, wrapping me in its embrace.

Darkness crashes in. And I feel nothing at all.

This was more than a physical sensation; it was like a darkness, a creeping dread that snaked its way into her very core. The ground beneath her feet seemed to tilt, the vast expanse of the open plain swaying like a dizzying mirage. Her legs buckled, and she crumpled to the ground, a strangled cry escaping her lips. The world narrowed, the cool night air replaced by a suffocating pressure… almost like smothering darkness pressing in from all sides. In the face of this overwhelming darkness, Reyana's will crumbled like sandcastles. It was almost as if she didn't have a will of her own anymore.
