I log into my job's attendance app and request a personal day. After I shower, I look into my eyes. The longer I stare, the darker the mirror becomes. Inside, I see several black shadows standing beside me. I turn to face them, but nothing's there. Back facing the mirror, they become one and move directly behind me. Once they're no longer visible, I gaze deep into my soul. My dark brown pupils appear black. The longer I stare, the more I see this blue hue. It's a lovely shade of extra dark blue, outlining the brown.

"Try to describe what it's like to lick me." I thought about it for a long time before I said, "It's kind of like eating a perfectly ripe peach. You know, there's that window of two or three weeks in August when Michigan Red Haven peaches are the perfect ripeness. You bite into the fuzzy skin and the sweet juice rolls down your chin and you can't help but to slurp it up and the flesh is soft yet firm under your tongue. That's the closest I can come to describing it."

When the brightness from the sunlight beamed through the window, Peach rolled over, opening her eyes slowly to stare up at the ceiling, and she let out a soft hum. “Mama,” Peach called out softly, her voice hoarse from sleep and hangover as she stared at Miss Grace, “Can... Can you turn off the light?”

“Baby, don’t be angry. I have no interest in her.” Instead of being happy to hear it, Natasha became even more angry. It was as if Dark had said that he didn’t want anything in her face that was with her impostor. What’s worse is that what he wants is what she looks like now, which is the real Cherry’s face.
