The words left my lips as I stared at the letters at the bottom of the painting "It's an acronym for Eugene Ari Darian." "Greek?" I scoffed, genuinely amused "A greek god actually," he corrected, arrogance clear in his tone with his head held up high "You are arrogant, you know that right?" In the way their gazes lingered on Zara. The sound of horn rented the air, as the gates groaned open. A figure emerged, clad in dark armor trimmed with silver fur. It pulsed with dark energy. And even though I was terrified, I didn’t step back. I stood tall. Luna. Mother. Mate. Warrior. I would not fall today. Not when the war had reached our doorstep. A few of the men remained on the ground, not transitioning to dragons, for they were to deal with the English mages and stop them from continuing to curse the weapons the knights used. They used old and powerful magic that could quickly kill a dragon, and that was the only way the pathetic English were any match for the dragon-shifters. The English had a few shifters themselves, but none of them were dragons, and only a few could fly. There was a phoenix and a griffin among them, but Ian had injured the griffin hours before, and Valen had destroyed the phoenix. It would rise again, but not during this battle.
