Manda, Sloan, and Viv cheered. I flushed and gifted them with an embarrassed smile. “Another round!” Viv called from my right, jostling my shoulder and making me flinch. As the other two hooted in agreement, I drew a design through a pile of spilled salt on the table with my fingernail, hoping time would get its ass into gear and move along already. “So…Haven,” Sloan started. “Do you think you’ll give Topher another chance?” Focusing on something over my shoulder, she added, “Because, damn, he is looking good tonight.”

Revan took a long sigh and turned to look at the stars and said with a small smile "I don't know what's wrong with you but you can always tell me, I am here for you, Ava. you know that I love you and can do anything for you" Ava's eyes opened wide, she turned her head and looked at Revan, who turned his head to look at her with a small comforting smile, Revan moved close to Ava cupping her face and said "I don't know what is making you so sad but if I can do anything, I will do, I can do anything to make you happy. you should know that there are so many peoples who love you and don't want to see you sad like this".

Instead of looking intimidated, he curled his lips into a faint smile, wearing an unmistakably provocative smirk in front of Calvin. "You can threaten me all you want, Mr. Ashford," Revan replied calmly, deliberately speaking in a dismissive tone as he cast a brief glance toward Camelia, who stood quietly behind her husband. "But understand this... I will never give up so easily. The past cannot be erased with power." Without waiting for Calvin—whose fists were already tightly clenched—to throw a punch, Revan turned around and walked away from the courtyard garden with his remaining arrogance intact, leaving behind an atmosphere thick with tension.
