I might be doubting a lot of things now Dawn's POV Gosh, how long has it been since I went to the Cloud mountains, thanks to the waterfall hiding this place, and the teeny tiny pond I was able to take a bath in peace I have decided to go to Michigan, more specifically Detroit. I made a shit ton of money over there, apparently, it's very amusing for people to see two women fight, or anyone fighting a woman. People are so dumb. You have no idea, how much they bet for you to lose, and I am the dumbest bitch in the world to go risk my life just for some cash, but once I made more than enough money I came back to Blood Stone and became the Alpha

Orpheus scoffed. "I'm setttt!!" Dawn rushed back to the sitting room after few minutes of stepping out but now, something was more different, she has piled up some luggages. "I'm a girl so I need a lot of things to keep me beautiful. So when are we leaving??" She said in a low tone. "Oh! F**k!!" I heard Blaze curse under his breath as he rubbed his forehead with his right palm. "You all right now, I'm probably going to throw up soon." He feigns a belch like he was about throwing up as he looked at Dawn.

CHAPTER 57 First Dawn, First Blood September 8, 2029 – Aerie Academy, 5:57 a.m. The dorm wakes us with sunrise poured straight into our veins. No alarm. Just the sky outside our windows turning the exact shade of Remy’s eyes when he’s half-shifted, and every oath mark on our wrists flaring like a starting gun. We’re already moving. Remy’s braids are still loose from sleep, hanging wild down his back.

I can feel her shaking as she cries. "What's wrong?" Dawn is a few inches taller than me, with strawberry-blonde hair and green eyes. I see several of the unmated guards and warriors looking at her. She's not mated either, as far as I know. "I was on a road trip with a human friend of mine; we weren't far from here when our car had a flat tire. We got out and were walking, trying to find someone to help, when this man, who had to have been a lycan, came out of the woods and took Aubrey. I screamed at him to let her go, but he was gone before I could even shift." Dawn falls to her knees, and I go down with her, holding her as she cries.

Dawn locked the door before she stood in front of a mirror above the cabinet, pulling down the neck of her sweater and observing the injuries on her neck. I looked at her, heavily ladden with guilt. The bruises were almost gone now, her skin was healing and returning back to its bright colour. "Dawn I—" "What are you?" She asked, her voice even. I couldn't look at her, even as she turned around and focused her gaze on my face. I didn't have an answer to her question. 'A demon maybe... A vampire.'

I feel her before I see her, and when I look, Eve is looking me over, as if making sure I’m okay. I smile. I’m not used to someone looking out for me, but I could get used to it very quickly. When her eyes meet mine, I wink. She blushes then looks beside me. “Dr. Samuel!” she says, rushing over to us. “Luna, it's good to see you again! Alpha Dante said you and your pup were healthy. May I see her?” he asks, looking at Dawn who is sleeping in her arms. “She’s perfect, thanks to Dante and Dr. Olander. I passed out during the delivery. They had to force the delivery,” she tells him.

"If you don't marry me, who else can you marry?" Sol found it hilarious. "Could it be Karnos? You surely know his methods for dealing with women, don't you? For the past few hundred years, any goddess who got close to him has disappeared. Do you really want to become the bride of the Shadow Sovereign?" My parents had chosen two suitors for me since I was young. One was Sol, the God of Dawn in the Temple of Dawn, in charge of all light and warmth.

I stepped aside on instinct, still trying to catch up. "Wait." I turned to follow her. "What exactly are we getting ready for?" Delphine paused halfway through laying out a length of pale blue fabric and looked at me like I'd just asked her what color the sky was. "You haven't heard." "Heard what?" "The Dawn Vigil, my lady." She said it slowly, like she was explaining something to a child, or possibly a very slow dog. "You're making your first appearance beside the Alpha. Today." The words landed right in the middle of my chest and just sat there, refusing to make sense. The Dawn Vigil was a ritual welcoming newborn pups born during the night, and celebrating newly turned wolves who survived

*** Hazel’s pov The next morning, I woke up feeling determined. I had been doing everything in my power to adjust to life in the Red Moon pack and no matter what Evelyn threw at me, I wasn’t going to give up. The soft light of morning sun shone through my window as I stretched and got ready for the day. I quickly washed then dressed, deciding to go down to the healing tent. The healers were always nice and learning new things from Mara made me feel like I was actually helping with something. But as soon as I stepped outside the packhouse, that’s when things started getting weird.

She wiped the drool off her face as her gaze landed on the BL comics that she had been reading before she fell asleep. She pulled out her phone from the bedside table to look at the time. Sigh She overslept. It was already past noon. After going on a shopping spree yesterday, she was excited to meet her boyfriend and give him the things she had purchased for him. But when she called him, he informed her that he was working overnight and would be staying at the office. He forgot to mention it to her since there was a meeting earlier. Later on, she dozed off while reading the comic.
