I said, out of nowhere. “What?” Lucas asked. “The 15 vampires left with Lacy.” I said. “It was daytime.” Lucas said. “Exactly. They are half breeds as well. Day walkers.” I said. “Alright. So, they’ve started changing werewolves. We’ll get the word out.” Lucas assured me. “That’s not what I mean.” I said. “What then?” He asked. “Why would Lacy need 15 vampires to go anywhere with her if she’s a half breed and can walk in the daytime?” I asked.

All of them bore the marks of Thorin's cruelty, scars, burns and missing pieces. "We need to move faster," Rylan hissed. "Dawn's coming." I grabbed the next lock.. And stopped. Beyond the wolf cages, deeper in the tunnel, another set of bars. Different. Newer. I walked toward them. The Vampires. Many of them, chained to the walls, their pale faces gaunt with hunger. Their eyes tracked me with a mixture of hatred and desperate hope. "What are you doing?" Rylan appeared at my shoulder. "We don't have time for leeches."

Wynn said, regretting his decisions. “There is something you should know,” Deacon said, remembering the contents of Lauturi’s letter. “What?” Wynn questioned. “Not here. The walls have ears,” Deacon said, and led Wynn out of the castle. They walked for a bit before Deacon explained. “A vampire can become a day walker by robbing a hunter or the offspring of a hunter; half-bloods included, of their heart and putting it where their own heart used to be.” “That is how Paris became a day walker?” Wynn questioned, not believing that Paris would have done something like it.

Chris explained. I nodded at him to continue, taking it all in. "The vampires are cold, literally and figuratively. They survive on human blood and are the nightwalkers. They can not come out during the day. They are blessed with extreme speed. Us werewolves do not associate ourselves with the likes of them."

So did the vampires. The mages daywalking charms work, but it makes them human. We thought they’d heal once night fell, but they haven’t. They are not dead, walking around with broken spines and necks, howling in pain, but they won’t die.

As she finished the book she reached her home. She put the book on top of the table and went inside the secret room inside the basement. She sits and looks around. The room is already full of medicines but Waylan couldn't stop inventing and researching for medicines that could turn vampires into humans. She already made medicine that can help vampires walk while the sun is shining, medicines for them not to crave for blood, etc. She suddenly sighed. "All this medicine is useless without any vampire around," she murmured while closing her eyes and falling into sleep.

I snatched a toast from Cassie's plate before dashing out the house. "Bye" I said and rushed out the house. I lived amongst werewolves, which mean I stayed for from the human world. Obviously the human's had no idea we existed. They all think we are a myth or something. There was only two kind of people who knew about our existence, the vampires and witches, but we never got across to one another, we all just stayed within our boundaries , we don't meet them, they don't meet us.

I had uncovered myself before I saw his missed calls. "Meet me at the cabin near the valley," he said with a bold voice without letting me explain. I sighed as if that would lessen his hurdles for the day. I had no choice than follow his order. I hoped he don't cause much trouble that day. I dressed up after showering and headed to the place he was talking about. The vampires were laid on the ground and their skin had yet to decay completely. "The witches did this..." He said... without taking note of the demises really well.

It's black, and there's only a chair with a table. They try to open the door, but it's locked. They can smell us, too, surely. "Everything will be fine," Nicole whispers with her lips. I nod and prepare for the worst. They forcefully break the door, and I flinch in fright. Everything is dark, but with my wolf vision, I can see clearly. Then a vampire enters with red eyes, intense black hair, and very pale skin. "We meet again, Jane," the vampire says with a warm but fake smile.
