Their Deadly Obsession

Their Deadly Obsession

“Square in the chest. Don’t hold back.” Her fingers flex. She shifts her weight, clearly considering it, but she’s overthinking—telegraphing every movement. Then she swings. I sidestep at the last second, catching her wrist and twisting it smoothly behind her back. She gasps as her back presses against my chest. I lean down, my breath brushing her ear. “Dead.” She jerks against my hold, but I don’t release her right away. Instead, I lower my mouth closer. “That was slow.”

Dead at Heart

Dead at Heart

All it took was a single sentence to stir her into this fury? He stepped closer, studying every subtle expression on her face in the dim night. As if he wanted to witness the pain of her accepting the truth, he deliberately said, "There's no need to be so surprised. What I'm saying is a fact. Otherwise, why would I let you stay here?" Ariel's fists trembled, but her gaze remained sharp and unforgiving. Samson didn't like seeing her like this, but he didn't mind. He leaned down toward her. "Ariel, Jayson's dead. He's not in this world anymore. You need to move on."

people are cruel to you because you allow them to.so, it's unfair that Ariel feels like people around her abused and used her, it's her fault. she should not blame them and doesn't have the right to take revenge. most books are written this way, aren't writers tired for the same usual storyline?

There are two turning points (my favorite scenes) for me. First, when Colton insisted on calling Ariel ‘Mrs. Larkin’ instead of ‘Ms. Walker.’ Second, when Jayson referred to Ariel as ‘your sister-in-law’ to Renee after Ariel got her highest score. Both happened after they were already divorced.

Flying Death

Flying Death

I don’t know why, but something is rotten in my gut and it’s never wrong. We storm through the building, Roddy’s being the last room at the end of the long ass hallway. The door is locked and Grouch sticks his ear to it, then backs up and kicks it open. The immediate stench of death I know all too well hits my nose and I can’t believe nobody has noticed it. It’s at least fifteen doors from mine. Missile and Grouch storm in, but I can already see the lifeless body of Ryan “Roddy” Grimes on the bed. I step in the room and see a needle sticking right out of his fucking arm. His skin is already discolored, he’s been dead a couple days. And nobody even realized it. Some brotherhood we are.

Dead to Her, Dead Inside

Dead to Her, Dead Inside

I tried to dodge the attack, but I slipped on a rock underfoot and crashed into the wall. Pain shot through my still-healing wound, and a cold sweat broke out as I froze in place. Seeing this, Gerald sneered and advanced slowly with the knife in hand. "If it weren't for you, Meghan and I would've been married by now! Now, I'm going to send you to where you belong." As the knife was raised, I closed my eyes tightly, full of bitter resentment. The sound of the blade tearing through flesh pierced the air. My heart skipped a beat. I thought I'd die with regret, but the pain never came.

Broken by One, Desired by All

Broken by One, Desired by All

Just a fragile, stupid human girl, shivering in a wet hole, waiting for my skin to rot and my mind to follow. I pressed my head harder against the stone now, a tiny, bitter laugh bubbling up from my throat. The sound was hollow, broken, the laugh of someone who had nothing left to lose. "He's dead," I muttered, my fingers tracing the hem of my ruined dress, picking at the frayed threads. "He has to be dead. Zane... that half-breed little rat. He couldn't survive that. It was the Dark Sigen. They don't leave things half-done. The Seventh Seat had the black daggers. The ones that eat the soul and leave nothing behind."

I usually don’t do reviews however I feel like this book may get overlooked. I didn’t know how I would feel reading this book at first but the author has a fantastic way of writing which is easy to read and picture. I think the romantic relationships in this book is more tasteful than I expected!

I am enchanted by this novel. Articulated to inspire your imagination. If the author continues on this epic writing journey then we have a top author blooming before our eyes. Well done & please continue with this beautiful tale.

Bonded with my ex

Bonded with my ex

It was up to her to make sure they were given rights. She nodded to her assistant. "Prepare the jet. We're going to Alpine Cove". Alpine Cove The scientist tore open the belly. "Really? You're operating on a dead zombie? " "He's not actually dead. He's just brain dead. Like in a coma. Forever". "That has to be bad". "Did you hear that? " "What? " "Shh. I heard it again", the scientist said. The lights in the room went off. His friend gave him a torch.

The Death of Me

The Death of Me

He said nothing but something in his eyes told me that he already knew. "It was your dear mother, it's funny you know... because I thought she was dead." My tone changed, losing the fake playfulness it held moments ago, a frown creased my forehead, "Wasn't she?" I pressed my palms on both sides of the handrest and leaned forward, "You see, when I kill someone, they're supposed to stay dead." I rolled my eyes, "But for some reason, all the dead people in my life somehow come back to life and they make their way into mine and screw it up."
