Cedric said with a smile. "What kind of day?" "Your one-year recovery anniversary." He pulled out a bouquet of flowers. "Congratulations—on being reborn." I took the bouquet, my eyes misting over. "Thank you, Cedric. For this past year… for staying by my side." "Silly girl," he said gently. "I told you, I'd wait as long as it takes. So… are you ready to give me a chance now?" I paused for a few seconds, then smiled. "Alright."

She shook her head and said, "Would you be willing to tell me your address?" "Rose Manor." "Rose?" A trace of confusion flashed in Thea's eyes. Suddenly, in her mind, she remembered many years ago when she stood in front of the courtyard wall of a wealthy villa, looking at the roses that filled the entire yard. Suddenly, she cried uncontrollably. Beside was the thin and weak Theodore, who saw her crying and silently held her hand. She cried and said, "Theodore, roses are clustered together with sisters and brothers, blooming and withering together, accompanied by loved ones, even if they wither, they are not alone. I want to be a rose."

… When the delivery person brought the flowers, they shouted, "I'm here for Alice! Your roses are here!" Alice raised her head high and jogged toward the delivery person. "That's me!" She took the large bouquet of roses from the delivery person and sniffed at it deeply to show off. "It smells so nice." Her coworkers gathered around. "Who sent them?" "My good friend, Aralyn!" Joanna also saw the flowers in Alice's hands—they were much larger and obviously much more expensive than hers. She grumbled, "It's not even from a man. Why are you so proud of it?"

As the day unfolded, she vowed to rectify that oversight, hoping that this adventure would not only deepen her connection with Rose but also strengthen the bonds of her family. Arriving at Rose's house, they knocked hesitantly, the sound echoing in the quiet afternoon. The door creaked open to reveal Rose, looking disheveled and weary. She stood before them in a faded bathrobe and worn slippers, her eyes reflecting a deep well of sadness. It was evident that she was emotionally depleted; a heavy cloud of depression seemed to envelop her.

“Because, genius, I’d still want to patch up the rabbits munching on my garden. Flowers don’t bleed, but they also don’t wag their tails when you save them.” The memory made me smile as I climbed out of the car. After thanking the driver, I grabbed my bag and walked up to the front door. It swung open before I could knock, revealing Rose with her ever-bright smile, wearing a peach floral dress. She almost blended in with her flowers. “Liv!” she exclaimed, throwing her arms around me. Rose was a petite woman, but what she lacked in height, she made up for in presence. Her shoulder-length auburn hair framed her heart-shaped face, and her hazel eyes sparkled with warmth.

As I put one of my feet inside of the warm and welcoming water filled with the petals of the beloved and most beautiful rose. I sometimes wonder why it has so much love being given to it. It is so imperfect, yet that is its perfection just like all of us--We are perfect and one because of the imperfections of us. I also wonder why a rose just steals my heart every time I look at it--it's just so magnificent. Is it because of the color that it possesses or because of the way it possesses the frail heart of mine? So melted in my thoughts that I was, I didn't realize that I had to get out of the bath to get ready.

“Friends and families discount.” Ollie paid the florist and then put the box of lilies inside his backpack before he plucked a single red rose from one of the shelves to his left. “Here.” He placed the rose in my hand. “It matches your hair.” Then Ollie turned around and walked toward the door without waiting for me while I stood there with my cheeks turning the same shade of red as the rose in my hand.

Rose's heart became relieved, though… there was a speck of pain that pierced her heart. "Goodbye, my Dear… Aunt Rose hopes that you won't feel the pain and suffering anymore. I love you so much," whispered Rose with trembling lips and tears streaming down her face. Rose wiped the tears that fell down. For a moment she tried to capture the beautiful scenery so that it stuck firmly in her mind. The girl then turned around with tears welling up in her eyes. She was barely able to walk away. Rose smacked her chest which was aching.
