I heard the clicking of camera shutters, but no one called the ambulance. My blood drained dry. My body became cold. Finally, Yvette Skye was no more. I died all alone at the corner of the street. No one cared. My corpse was not a pretty sight. My eyes were wide, unseeing, and there was a large hole in my stomach. My legs were twisted together. One of my arms was flung by the side of the road. My legs were useless now. I was ugly. No wonder the little girl cried. Floating in the air, I stared at my mutilated corpse.

Death. Everyone was about to die.

Lena stared at the words. Her heart pounded wildly. “…Aftergame?” someone whispered. “What kind of sick joke is this?” another voice snapped. The screen flickered. More words appeared. STATUS: DECEASED A gasp spread across the crowd. Lena’s chest tightened painfully. “No…” she whispered. “No… that’s not—” ALL PARTICIPANTS HAVE DIED Her legs weakened slightly. Her breathing grew shallow. “I… died…” she whispered. Her voice barely sounded like hers. NEW OBJECTIVE: SURVIVE

I had maggots crawling about my skin and rotten flesh. Mark did not cover his nose like before. Instead, he drew closer to my face. Then, he flew into a rage. “Jane, is it fun toying with me?! You sure made this dummy look real! How could you possibly be dead?! I won’t allow you to die!” As he was throwing his tantrum, I suddenly heard footsteps. Mark was delighted. “I knew it, Jane! You aren’t dead!” But his eyes flew wide open a moment later because the people who had come were his parents.

Death said, feigning shock in his eyes. “You know what, you’re going to do whatever you want to do, I’m not going to play your game, piss off, I’m busy,” Kiran said, and stood up. “Grumpy, grumpy. Is Adara not attending to your needs?” Death asked, as Kiran stopped right in front of the door, then he burst out laughing as Kiran turned around. “You’re pretty low on the social scales in the afterlife, so like I said, piss off,” Kiran said, and walked out of the office as Death glared at him.

His penalty from God was that he would not get the opportunity to see his family before he died. He looked at the man with a straightforward expression and said, “You will get the worse end, Stefen Lawrence.” Saxton grabbed the bottle and emptied it down his throat. His throat began to burn painfully, while slowly the blood covered up his eyes. Stefen ruffled his hair back and observed the doctor slowly sinking to his death. "Rest in peace," He said with no emotion or regret on his face. Stefen picked up Saxton's phone and turned toward the door before heading out. His steps came to a standstill at the entrance when he observed a camera right next to the wall with a yellow light. It made him

Original Death is watching with patience that feels like inevitability. And the clock is ticking toward extinction.
