The warehouse was too quiet after.
Derina leaned against the pillar, skirt still rucked up indecently, chest heaving as she tried to drag air back into her lungs. Cavin paced a few feet away, running a hand through his dark hair, the other dragging over his mouth as though he could erase what just happened.
“This was a mistake,” he muttered, voice rough.
She laughed, breathless and sharp. “That’s one way to describe the best sex of my life.”
