KNOCKOUT
My grades went up by a small amount, but at least I wasn't failing.
I walked out the back door. Sunday afternoon, and it was hot as hell. I walked out in a pair of purple workout shorts and a black tank top with my hair was pulled up in a tight ponytail. I walked up to the bag, stretching my arms and shoulders as I did so.
Today was the day that I would be fighting Liam. I knew he had way more experience than me, but I had been studying hard and was excited about the chance.
He came out and smiled smugly. It was clear he didn't see me as real competition, but as he approached, he put on his game face. That was one of the first lessons he taught me. Never underestimate your opponent.
