"Because Alpha Kaden and the entire midnight pack are under a blood curse, put on them by the moon goddess. By the next Hunter's moon the midnight pack will cease to exist." Mene concluded, leaving me momentarily stunned. The midnight pack would die, Kaden included. I gaped at her, my mouth opened in disbelief. That must be the secret that the entire pack has been hiding, they didn't want anyone finding out they are cursed.

Theo probed, turning his full attention to the man Looking at him, he could tell that he bore news, whether good or bad, that's something he didn't know and would probably be finding out soon. " We have a messenger from the Midnight pack." The warrior declared. " I'm not just a messenger. I am beta Marcus from the midnight pack.My alpha, the Alpha Lord,sent me here on his behalf." Marcus declared, bursting through the door, an intimidating look on his face. Theo was taken aback by the declaration. A look of fear and panic flashed through his face. The word midnight brought unpleasant memories in his heart. Memories he was looking forward to erasing.

"You're going?" "Alpha ordered it. So..." he shrugged. "Can I come?" I tugged at his sleeve. "There's not much I can do here until midnight comes."
