Margot POV She was right. I didn’t have the nerve. Maybe that was a good thing. I spent the entire subway ride home telling myself I wasn't concerned with the gossip. Then I opened X. Apparently, I cared. I searched for the video. The biggest posts were already gone. Some accounts had deleted their screenshots. Others had removed the original clip. The conversation was still there, but the footage itself was disappearing fast. Vanderbilt Dominion’s PR team had been very busy.

The original posts that gathered evidence and started the narrative were deleted, and the original poster disappeared. Screenshots surfaced and the caption read, 'Guess who's having a crisis of conscience?"

The page goes emptier and emptier. Someone is deleting them. Someone is watching the exact page I’m reading and wiping it clean. My breath comes faster. I manage to screenshot five more before the entire forum goes blank. I refresh. Error 404. Page Not Found. “Shit.” My hand slams onto the desk.

She didn't like being kept in the dark. But when she looked at her phone, the news article had vanished. Was it gone? Or was it deleted?
