Their bodies twisted midair, flipping over each other’s shoulders in perfect symmetry before landing in mirrored crouches. Another demon climbed a long length of dark silk suspended from the ceiling. He wrapped the fabric around his wrists and ankles before spinning downward in a controlled spiral, releasing the silk entirely only to catch it again inches above the floor. The movements were fluid and fearless. If they had been human, someone might have called it crazy. Here, it simply seemed like another form of discipline.
