"Mr Koontz has arranged for the VIP room to be at your disposal. VIP, Linaker smiled. Exactly as it should be. The walls were upholstered in soft black velvet and lit with an intimate red glow. Linaker's attention was caught by the paintings on the wall. They looked like the usual erotic depictions of kinky sex acts, but when Linaker looked more closely he realised the girls weren't human. They possessed horns, tails, wings and even cloven hooves. "Unusual paintings," Linaker commented. He couldn't work out whether the demons' attentions were causing their victims pain or pleasure.

I answered coolly. He strutted across the room and went to stand in a glass window where the outside showed a good angle of the veranda and the Winner Family pool. He smiled, pleased over something that he saw. I wondered what it was then. What is advantageous of being a demon is that we get to read another person's mind. We can use it for or against them. But before an angel, we are helpless. It is either they have barriers in their too-holy brains or they are just dead on imagination. I prefer to think it is the latter.

I had to move fast. I turned through the pages of the spell book with shaky hands until I finally settled on what I was searching for. “Thrakos, Demon of the Underworld, Lord of Hell,” I whispered, my fingers tracing the forbidden verse. “He who commands the forbidden flames of the devil's domain,” my voice grew louder, desperation etched in my eyes, "I call thee, Thrakos. I summon thee to the mortal realm. Kneel before–” The sound of thunder cracking cut me short before I could complete my words. The ground began to rumble and the circle I had engraved on the ground expanded outwards as dark smoke clouded the entire place.

Hmmm fairy blood… It rolls through my head and Dante scolds me, making me focus on this Jasper character. He doesn’t look all that strong, but the arrogance rolls off of him in waves. He clearly comes from money, and after sizing him up another minute it clicks in my head: he’s an abaddon demon. A sower of discord. He isn’t happy unless there is chaos and he’s creating it. “You’ve come to the right place, demon,” I whisper, as Chance laughs.

“Not fucking creepy at all.” Each page held the name of different demons, Lucifer, Mammon, Asmodeus, Satan, Beelzebub, Leviathan, Belphegor, and Chaos. Each one had a short description alongside a sketched photo of the demon themself and a symbol. I’d read through each one, finally landing on Chaos. He looked different than the rest of the sketches, as if he were a last minute add to the book. The drawing of him was smeared, as if the artist rushed. His symbol was different. Less intricate than the others.

His arch enemy was hard to find. But a few years ago, he had found out who was his arch enemy. It was an organisation called The Demon Hunters. The Hunters was a large organization runned by humans who go around catching and killing demons. They strongly believed that demons harm the world and people. With their existence, humans can never have peace. They have a strong hatred towards demons and demons vice versa.

Suddenly, from the very center of the pentacle, a swirling mass of black smoke began to materialize, coalescing into a towering, amorphous form. This entity, devoid of any discernible features, exuded an aura of pure malevolence. Belle's heart raced as she took in the sight before her—this was her first encounter with a demon, a being she had scarcely believed could exist. Paralyzed with fear, she watched as the smoky figure loomed closer, its presence suffocating and terrifying.
