All they could do now was wait, poised on the edge of action, ready to spring into motion at the first sign of danger. The silence was shattered by a sudden, bone-chilling screech. From the shadows, the demon lunged forward with terrifying speed, its eyes glowing with malevolent hunger. It was a grotesque creature, with sinewy limbs and jagged claws that glistened in the moonlight. Its form seemed to shift and ripple as it moved, a blur of darkness and malice.

Kael's eyes locked on a tree ahead, glowing faintly red. "They're moving. I can feel them. Not on the ground. In the trees." Rea instinctively stepped back. She looked up. And then she saw them. Two pairs of eyes. They didn't glow, didn't shine—they just stared. Straight at her. So dark that the light seemed to bend around them. "What are those?" she whispered. Kael stepped forward slowly, lifting the blade. "Shadow demons. Lesser kind, but fast. If they get into your mind, you're done. Fire repels them."

I asked, looking at three who stood across from us. “We thought the Shadow of death was a man, never thought it could be a woman.” Luciano said. Why, because they just assumed only men could be doing something like this and no woman could be capable of inflicting so much fear on the world. Having them look over their shoulders scared for their lifes, owndering who it was becasue the Shadow of death could be walking next to them or be around them very where and don't even know who it was.

“See the truth in your strength, but beware the cost. Shadows cannot be destroyed they only wait, and they remember.” Aria’s chest burned, sweat beading along her brow, hair plastered to her face, yet she did not relent. The shadows pressed again, more aggressively, their whispers sharp and mocking, trying to erode her focus. But with Damon beside her, guiding, warning, and lending strength, she was unstoppable. Finally, the tendrils recoiled, shadows dissipating like smoke in sunlight, leaving the forest silent, mist curling lazily now, almost peaceful. The figure, however, remained, watching, waiting, its expression unreadable.

Ava placed the reason too late. “Penny, no!” It’s too late now; she heard Passerini’s voice in her head. She couldn’t stop Penny as she charged towards the source of the cold spot. A shadow golem. The worst of the worst. At the same time, another horde of shadows came at Ava, cutting her off from Penny, both locked in a fight for their lives. These shadows were stronger. They were not fragments like the ones Sven could create. These were originals. They could have only come from one place.

Alexandra walked closely behind Aurora as they stepped into the club not wanting to lose sight of her. The interior view overwhelmed her and she almost had a sensory overload from all the things she was feeling at that moment. The music was very loud and the beats thumped hard making her skin vibrate. The dim flashing light casted dark shadows on the faces of the people dancing in the club. This was her first time entering inside a club before. She had always seen one from afar and it had been on her highschool bucket list to go to a club. She felt her inner child squeal from delight that she had finally crossed that off.

"Let's see how many types of shadow creatures you can list off the tops of your heads." Immediately, Nobles offer their input. Netherhounds, Bonewalkers, Dark Phatoms, Poltergeists, Gravecallers, Deadlings. A Vampire sitting two rows in front of us raises his hand. "There are still Dark Demons in Tophet, right?" The professor nods. "Unfortunately. Many of them have devised means to easily slip through the Tether into the mortal realm in disguise as earthy Demons. Not many other true shadow creatures can do that, except Crocottas, perhaps."

Her eyes darted nervously around the area, silently questioning her presence. "You will begin with the basics," I stated firmly, my voice steady. "Learning to defend yourself is the first of many necessary steps." She nodded, though fear flickered in her eyes. With a snap of my fingers, the shade materialized. A dark, imposing figure emerged from the shadows, its glowing golden eyes piercing the dim light. It was a manifestation of my power, a creature under my control, moving with an eerie grace that sent shivers down Bella's spine. Gasping, she stumbled back, her hand gripping my arm tightly, nails digging into my skin.

I let out a piercing shriek, covering my ears. "Putangina..." Dominic gasped, his breathing turning incredibly shallow and ragged. When I frantically looked down at him, my heart stopped... dark, thick blood was rapidly soaking through the fabric of his pant leg. Shaking with pure terror, I grabbed his shoulders, but he immediately reached up, cupping my cheeks with his trembling hands to force me to look at him. "Raegan, my love, listen to me very carefully..." he whispered urgently.

He would protect me and my family at all costs, like he always did. “It looks like you all have a death wish to barge into our private moment and ruin it with your filthy and useless existences,” Desmond threatened them in his carefree manner. “We’ll see who finishes who, imbecile,” a demon spoke. Its voice was somewhat feminine. The shadow demon that I witnessed had the form of a woman. It was her! I stuck my fingers into my ears as my face rested on Desmond’s chest. Even though Madame Long had shown me more terrifying creatures in mirrors, that shadow demon was still at the top of the list of the things that made me shiver.
