A shadow stood motionless behind the slightly open door, listening. “Who’s there?” I demanded, forcing my voice to sound steady despite the fear clutching my heart. Silence was my only answer. Then—BAM! The door flew off its hinges with a single, powerful kick. Dust filled the air as he stepped inside. “Hello, Fyr.” Demi Shire stood there, a dark, terrifying smile playing on his lips. His eyes were pitch black, void of any light or mercy. “M-Mr. Demi…” I stammered, my blood running cold.

As Esteria and the group made their way to the dining hall, the atmosphere was light, filled with the lingering satisfaction of their morning training. They were almost at the entrance when a sudden, eerie ripple disturbed the air around them. The group halted, senses immediately on high alert. In the blink of an eye, three water demons materialized before them. Their normally fluid, calm expressions were contorted with worry, their watery forms shimmering with anxiety. Before anyone could react, the demons' eyes locked onto Esteria, their concern deepening.

The room was empty and looked like a tornado had run through it. "What are they looking for," I questioned curiously, lifting an empty dresser drawer out of our way. Both men shrugged and continued to the open door. Samson peeked around down the hall and waved us forward. We all hurried down the hall and kneel down at the top of the stairs to see Mortas tied to a chair below surrounded by men in all matte black armor. One of the pricks was about to saw off Mortas's single horn. "That's a great insult for us demons," Dane whispered sadly. I gritted my teeth and stood.

The fire-colored slit demon stares at her. It was so weird to associate that horror movie-worthy monster with the handsome man from mere minutes ago. The voice coming out of the deformed throat is also equally fearsome, like thunder and earthquakes. "Don't come any closer!" "You're hurt!" The other demon, the one with yellow slits, seems puzzled by the girl's concern. Sam once again shouts: "Stay away!"

The remaining lady ninja thought as she turned around to look at the assassin who turned to look at her at the same moment. Dark Shadows started coming out from every corner of the dark room as they surrounded Demon. "I am not just a Ninja, I am a Shadow Samurai." Demon said as some shadows went to his hand forming a ball and he raised his hand up, ready to throw the dark shadow ball at her. "All these wouldn't have happened if you and your sister had just listened and run like I told you to. Too late for that now Ninja." He added his silver eyes shiny. The ninja was losing blood and she wondered why the King and the guards hadn't showed up yet.

"Iblis Jabril, you must've heard the saying hell hath no fury than a woman scorned, right? This is for betraying me. Haha!" Cackling manically, Queen Nymrit looked like a devil from the seventh level of hell, as she viciously twisted the dagger in the demon's back. Iblis snarled and tried to yank the dagger out of his back. But as if he had been paralyzed, he couldn't move a limb and sunk to his feet. 'Demon Slayer!' All at once, thousands of needle-sized pricks pierced his organs and stabbed his heart. A sweet taste surged in his throat, and he puked a mouthful of blood.
