I mumbled. He turned around and looked at her legs, touching them. Xavier did his best to control himself. "She was bit by a forsaken," Lucas announces, pointing to a mark on her thigh. I look at it and it was indeed a forsaken bite. Their bites are extremely venomous and can kill even adult wolves in a matter of minutes, even alphas. You can tell the difference between the bites in human form because the skin started to decay. My heart drops. Forsaken wounds were impossible to cure, even if you were an alpha or alpha heir. Only the Moon Goddess herself could save you if you had been bitten or scratched deep enough. "She probably won't last any longer than a few hours. Who is she?"

"He shall lose all, but get stronger —" "She did. Her best friend, her fiance, her whole life," "And on the blood moon, she shall be strongest. And on that day, her conquest of the dark forces shall begin," "Well, that remains to be seen, isn't it? The blood moon is three moons away after all. What the hell made you think it's Lycidas?" I asked. He shook his head, bewildered. "He fulfilled all the lines of the prophecy too," "He was found at death's door?"

I ask him, “What’s going on? Why are they chained?” “Today was supposed to be the day of the Full Moon Hunt, was it not?” His question makes me shiver. “Yes. And?” His smile widens. “And it’s just begun, Alpha Alec.” He then turns to his own Beta and says, “Release them!” The Omegas are sent running, bound to the woods. The silver will prevent them from shifting, but that doesn’t mean they can’t run. I realize what’s happening here. We’ll be the predators, and they’ll be the prey. Alpha Fredrick nods at me before saying, “It’ll be a hunt nobody will ever forget.”

Why did their eyes, their voices, their blades all come back to me as if I were the center of a story I didn’t understand? The monster shrieked, silver eyes blazing as Dimitri deflected another strike. The sound rattled the air, clawing into my chest until I thought my ribs might splinter. And in that noise, in that moment, something inside me cracked. Images flooded me—not memories, not exactly, but flashes. The pull of the moon. The warmth of a bond. A thread of power coiled tight in my blood, waking. No. No, it couldn’t be real. I staggered back, clutching at my throat, as if I could hold it inside, as if denying it would stop it from breaking free. Jason caught me, his hand steady at my

Lunaris Dominion, moonhowl pack, grave tooth pack, strombane pack, iron claw pack and blackthorn pack. Some say Moonhowl is merciful. I say mercy’s a lie. A hand waved in front of my face, ripping me from my thoughts. The first thing I saw were the polished boots. Then a lopsided grin. Von. “You look like you’ve seen a ghost,” he said. “You look… clean,” I muttered. He puffed his chest. “Rumor is, High Alpha Alaric made a deal with the Alpha King. Wants to send a few humans over as tribute.” He adjusted his ragged collar. “Thought if I looked half-decent, maybe I’d be overlooked.”

“Your fear opened the first gate. Your anger pinned the tracker. That means your blood is awake.” “I don’t want this,” I whispered. Dax’s gaze sharpened. “Wanting has nothing to do with prophecy.” He reached into his coat and pulled out something small wrapped in leather. He opened it and revealed a thin sliver of pale metal—Moon-silver—etched with the same split crescent. My throat tightened. “Where did you get that?” “From a cage,” he said. “From someone who didn’t make it out.” He set the sliver beside the circle. “If you step into the Hearth, you can pull the bond like a rope. You can draw him through.”

they responded in chorus and disappear. "The light of the first moon will lead you to it. The chorus of the song that will wake her up in a dream. Fragments of fragments will show. Her powers can destroy or restore. Wicked is the heart that love and weaker is the love that steals. Who owns the priestess that no one can steal?" Lynx said as if the words are some of magical clues that can give him all the answers. "Our first clue is the first moon, we waited for the new moon but nothing happened and tonight will be the first full moon after that incident" Nathaniel said

His mother. He sank his fangs into her throat in a heartbeat. There was no time to react as he tore into her flesh, blood spurting from her artery as she screamed. Her hands tore at the creatures skin, but her own skin was breaking as she tried to break free. She was sobbing, but the sounds didn’t come as quickly as anyone thought. Slowly, she began to gurgle instead of cry. When the creature dropped her body, Liam felt as if he had died.

How was that for a breakup? Blood swirled into the water, turning it red. Lyall’s arms and legs spasmed. When Moon finally raised his scarlet jaws, turning to look at me through his butterfly lashes for approval, I should’ve been shaking in my sorceresy boots. Instead, I smiled, thrilling on the sensation of my Wolve Bite, which settled back into place on Lyall’s death. Moon had chosen me by reclaiming it. I raised my hand against the tidal wave splash of water, as Moon leaped out of the bath, then paraded go to me with his head high and his tail lifted.

My eyes remain fixed on the mural and it feels as if I am transported to a world beyond the one I am in at the moment. I gaze longingly at the child in the woman's arms, suddenly missing the warmth of my mother. The crimson moon catches my interest and I notice for the first time that instead of the shade of red I originally thought it is, it's a shade of fiery orange-red…like the sun at its brightest. The wolves surrounding the infant are stark white, a sharp contrast compared to the moon. They surround the child, not as a predator circling its prey but as guardians of the moon spirit.
