"Human... how are you..." Lucien Desrosiers, the Demon King of the dark court, took one stunned step back. The noise behind him died at once. The hall was packed with elders, guards, and newly chosen sacrificial consorts, yet everyone seemed to forget how to breathe. Someone whispered, "She is not afraid of him? The Demon King's whole body carries the lust-curse. Any woman who gets too close starts collapsing within three seconds. Why is she fine?"

Ares turned away from her with a sigh as he looked up to the sky. “Because he tried to kill me. My father…. He tried his best to free me from the demon inside me but there was nothing he could do about the demon and it was getting worse and worse everyday. I would wake up and find myself in a pool of blood with dead animals around me or sometimes, some dead wolves or humans. After that, my father locked me up in a room that no matter what, I couldn't escape till one day, he told me he found a solution" Myla raised an eyebrow.

He holds out his hands, so I take them, trying not to think about how much larger they are compared to mine. "You should know that I find touching you abhorrent," I mutter. All I can think about is how many people have lost their lives to these hands. "I don't care what you're feeling, as long as it's something," he says. "Now. Try to relax. Concentrate on the connection between us." Releasing a long breath, I let my eyes flutter closed. Being a Demon is unique, it's special. It doesn't matter what most people say, I know that deep down, and through that, it allows me to connect to other's like me. Which is why I don't shy away from the connection between Keo and I.

Christopher glanced at Alayna who frowned and looked away under his gaze. "There's two ways for a demon to come about. First is birth, just like any regular child. There is a chance of a demon being born if at least one parent is a demon themselves. Then there is the second way, Christopher's way, the same way of the very first demon. To be consumed by Hatred, and Anger, so much that it begins to warp their very existence. Now this is the one time that a demon can become a mindless creature, if they have nothing holding them back, nothing that will compel them to hold onto their humanity, then they become a whole different kind of monster." Alayna was the one to answer the question. Christop

] Me: [? Cousin: [I researched this extensively. Demons need discipline. They're bad by nature, so you fight evil with evil. If they don't submit, you beat them until they do.] Corporal punishment, huh… Cousin: [But don't worry about traumatizing them or anything. Demons are kind of messed up; some even have kink tendencies. They like being hit. The harder you hit, the better it feels for them, the more obsessed they become with you, and the more obedient they are.]

“You know it would be much easier if I simply told you what does exist, it’s a much smaller list.” “Really?” she says in surprise, “Okay, go for it.” “Let’s see,” I say as I scan the list, “Genies, those exist. They’re called visums. Um.” Fuck, I’m hating this list more and more. “In a manner of speaking, yes demons exist, they’re called eytes.” Great, another thing I’m fucking responsible for. "You said the Lycan Kingdom had a demon trapped and and.. our Alpha also has a demon which means both together in one place" "What's written there?" I asked as she just stared at the book with horror plastered on her face.I snatched the book from her. "Demons just don't go back unless their purpose is fulfilled and if by any chance, two of them are in front of each other, they become stronger and overtake a body to kill it slowly for full possession. It is said that once it happened and countless lives were taken away, fear in people is their craving which lures them to seek more control"

insisted the other man then sprinkled me with salt again. Do I look like a demon in their eyes? Do I have a tail and horns that only they can see?
