Chapter 142 – Obsession and Blood Chris’s POV My hands shook, but I pressed the pistol harder against Diana’s head. Her chains rattled as she struggled weakly, her skin pale from the silver. Xander stood across the hall, his eyes glowing red, his claws dripping blood. He looked like a demon but his eyes were soft when they landed on her. That look made my stomach twist. “No closer,” I hissed, my voice cracking. “One more step, and she dies.”

I said. "Love at first sight comes with age and experience. I merely had the increased heartbeat and a desire to please both your daughters which could have been because I share a bloodline with my father and brother who were their true mates," he growled. Devin slid a sheet to me and I read over the paper: Noah Brinx, demon, mates with Jaxon who has a wolf. I cocked my brow and whistled.

He looked at me in shock and I could see the fear in his eyes when he looked at my arm. "Demon." I heard him say before running away from my room. I just asked why he seems to be scared. Who is the demon? Me? What is a demon by the way? Then when I got dressed I went out of the room and went to the kitchen, I saw a knife fall to the floor so I took it but I immediately let it go and closed my eyes because I saw something in my mind again. I saw the face of my mom and the girl with the horns again, mom was holding a knife and stabbed that girl with the horns, the girl did not know because she was sleeping.

“Yes, but with short distances like this, it’s not a problem.” “What about teleporting? Can you do that?” “Can demons do that?” “How would I know?” I shot back. He chuckled, burying his face in my neck. “You’d think she’d have learned something from living with one for months now.” I sent my elbow into his side, but he didn’t so much as wince. “She hasn’t. Said demon has been preventing her from learning about demons.” “The books aren’t accurate. They even spelled my name wrong.”

Alexander said and stood up to leave when the reaper's words made him stop his steps. "I am especially here for you, and you need to explain everything you've done with the demon." "Elucidate, huh! Keep waiting, maybe another reaper will appear here to take you into the hell," Alexander announced haughtily and left. "Darling, can we go somewhere else?" the woman was intoxicated by Xavier and that's what the devil wants. "First, tell me your favorite crime, the sin you think it's worth," Xavier spoke to the woman as Reaper turned his attention to Xavier.

Her attacker stood with two short blades in hands, with those glaring eyes watching her as she crawl and squirm on the ground. Beth continued to inch away as the demon start to advance towards her once again like a predator after its little prey. Its face covered with a black mask. Beth could feel the burning rage in those demon eyes as it continued to snarl and bear its teeth at her shivering form, silently demanding her death above all else and leaving no room for a way out. She gasp when her back hit the frame of the bed behind her, caging her in as well.

She sits up and swipes her lips with the the back of her hand and I rush towards her, making her lean backwards and practically falling on her back. I run my hands up her silk gown and my body positions itself between her legs. I could sense fear coming from her, but my demon's hold on me, over powered everything. I could hear Rix in the back saying not yet, but the other hitchhiking demons were screaming "Finally!" But, why does he keep saying not yet! This is the moment we have all been waiting for!

He casted a spell on it that could make me look like someone else in the eyes of people for the time being. I doubted it at first, but now I can see that it’s really working. Back in time, whenever I walk in the city, the people in the streets will run away with such horrifying expressions. Of course, I was known as the Demoness who only do evil things to others, it was normal for them to be scared. And I love that. I love when people tremble in fear when they see me. Because if I am that terrifying for them, they will not have guts to take what’s mine. They will not have a chance to betray me… to hurt me. It’s such a shame that no one recognizes me now.
