This house is massive, yet my attention is on the interior of the road, trying to get out of here. Staring back, I cannot see Ryan anywhere. I run as fast as I can towards the stairs and once right there, I glance back at the room before making my way down the stairs. Was I doing the right thing by running from my destiny? "You ungrateful little monster! You're a curse on this family! How did the Sutherlands ever raise someone like you? "Your mother has sacrificed everything for you! Are you trying to destroy us all before you're satisfied?" I looked at her face, twisted and red with fury, and felt nothing but cold. So this was how they saw it. Mom had been stealing Dad's money to bankroll their entire family, and in their eyes, she was the one making sacrifices. While their curses chased me down the road, I got into the Porsche that had always been mine, turned the engine over, and drove away without looking back.

“Who is your mother?” Ravena swallowed hard, shame burning her cheeks. She lifted her tear-streaked face, meeting Loretta’s gaze with trembling honesty. “My mother… is Mariseth Luna,” she confessed. The hall seemed to grow colder at the name. Murmurs rippled among the guards and servants, their shock barely contained.

Destiny stood alone in the middle of the toddler room, surrounded by crayon drawings and plastic blocks and the faint scent of apple juice. Her hands were still trembling. She clenched them into fists. Then she walked out of the daycare, hailed a cab on the street. She went to the place where everything had started.

And that same restless kid is now a mother, taking care of her cute mini version. 'Who would have thought that I'd witness this before my eyes?' Elliot thought as he admiringly observed Cecilia and Celeste. Although Celeste looks different from her red-haired mother, her smile is exactly the same as Cecilia's. Celeste is cheeky and smart. Her smile keeps you guessing whether she did something naughty or she's simply just lovely. "Let's go, Mommy, Grampa! Find a new pet and my dad!" Celeste pulled both Cecilia and Elliot's hands as she grinned. "Hurry!" she urged.

I whispered, more to myself than to Mother. Mother grunted. “You sound like a starving wolf circling a trap. There are hundreds of young ladies in this pack! Why does it always have to be the woman Jaxon already chose?" I grinned with evil. "Isn't that my destiny, Mother? I must spite Jaxon in every way possible. And the only way to get to him is through the woman he loves." Mother sighed and threw her eyes to heaven, as though she couldn't believe what she was hearing. "May the Goddess save you from yourself." She moaned.

Get through to her? His face falls. "I can't reach her. My mom doesn't know where she is either." It takes a few seconds for his words to sink in, but Dex immediately stands up. "Her friends don't know where she went, but she took most of her stuff with her," he says. My brain is still processing it, but Dex's is working at top speed. "Meeting in my office, in 15 minutes. We have to track her down; who knows what she's planning."

Great timing, baby girl. “I don’t need your help. Please leave.” I shut them both down and turn to walk towards the crib when my mom grabs my wrists and I turn to face her. “Get your hand off of me. You have no right to be here asking me to allow you to help. You are only here to put your nose in my business.” I rip my hand away from her and stand defiantly in front of her. “Please Destinee, she is our granddaughter.” I laugh and Sadia growls at her. My mom looks at her and lowers her head.
