The Whispers in the Woods

The Whispers in the Woods

Brodie might have had more luck tracking down Rachelle, but I barely knew her. I realized I didn’t possess the skills required for the task at hand, not like Brodie did. His instincts were sharp, honed from countless hunts, while I felt like an inexperienced cub, stumbling through the unknown. Not to mention my lack of ability to scent like a werewolf would. Some vampires had such skills, but I alas wasn’t one of them.

Seducing My Dad's Best Friend.

Seducing My Dad's Best Friend.

I burst out laughing, the sound low at first, then growing bolder as I leaned back in my chair. Gosh… I never knew the cops could be so dumb. This wasn’t hard at all. Not as hard as I thought it would be. Because really……..killing and getting away with it? It wasn’t as difficult as my fear had made it seem. Tell me how the “murderer” was put into investigating the case. How absurd. How….sillly! But it’s me you know. It’s my smart-ass brain. My manipulative skills. The way I read people like they’re an open books, the way I guide them toward the conclusions I want.

Skeletons Of The Marital Closet

Skeletons Of The Marital Closet

Aurum sneered, "Yes, you're right. But she could have done it at a different time. Why did it have to be that evening? She was obviously in a hurry and wanted to contact Shawn immediately!" "Mr. Lefting, this evidence isn't sufficient. It'll let Ms. Park know you're onto her, it'll alert Mr. Wood too." Bang! Aurum's fist hit the desk again. After repeatedly taking deep breaths, Aurum looked up at the detective. His gaze was sharp and ruthless. This was not the graceful gentleman Aurum used to be. "Then tell me, can you find any other evidence?" Aurum asked. The detective's brain spun rapidly. In their line of work, not only did they need strong investigative skills, but they also needed the

It's a good book. But it's too slow burn. So many chapters and still ongoing.... I wish for authornim to find conclusion to end this book. Hopefully a HE together for Shawn and Gale with their twins.

If you haven’t started this book yet, so don’t start at all. I am not saying is bad but it’s so slow and boring. The writer starts perfectly and sadly drag it around a year!!! It hasn’t finished yet. You can skip several chapters with no concern because nothing special is happening.

Beyond The Hallow Grave: Editingle Indie House Anthology (Ed

I nudged my head towards the top bannister, and he followed my gaze before giving me a weird little nod. I am not the investigator Amun is. He can take the thousands of small threads and snippets of information we uncover and tie them into a bow and point out who, why, and where the criminal is. My nature is more wolfish, a predator that hounds and charges and snaps with fang and claw until its prey is subdued - yet I felt I finally had an idea how to find our killer. If, and I do stress ‘if’, the killer had pushed Estelle off the bannister, it was almost a certainty I would be able to detect their scent on the body unless of course, my girl was the murderer.

Ds-professional love (book 1)

Ds-professional love (book 1)

“Because detective, our mystery guy here does just the exact opposite of just an ordinary killer would do. His crime scene feels like a battlefield even through the victim didn’t even throw him a punch. It makes him a man because of the strength of his weapon. It does seem very small but it slaughters deep. I think his skills are definitely some of the best military tactics ever taught. They call it off balance and pinning. Trafalgar 1805.” “Are you from the military?” Dannie undeniably inquired basing on how brilliant she was explaining herself. “No detective. I just do a lot of research. Since we’ve been introduced, let get to work and find our man slaughter.” Victor had led his quiet gett

Grooming Our Love

Her back is straight, not moving an inch. "Any ideas, Detective?" "I have sent her image to my team, let's see what they've got," he answered. "But I think I've seen her face before," he added, gently scratching his unshaven chin. "One of my team members said that she's skilled, sir," Jack said, standing next to me. "Her gun was for professionals and her technique was unusual." "Unusual?"

Coughlin continued, "teaching her was a mammoth encounter. But it's continually pleasant to have a scholar who can learn as fast as you can teach." "If I comprehend fittingly," I pressed, "in addition to her gift for logic, she must have had outstanding recall." "Indeed," agreed on Coughlin. "She also had outstanding design-acknowledgement abilities. If I revealed her something once, she would directly clutch the fundamental belief and see how someone could relate to comparable circumstances." "She might have made a fine detective," I suggested.

Detective Small, I learned while in Dallas, is nothing short of a psychopath. His partner Detective Ryan was a good person who put trust in him as her partner, and it got her killed. His talent for pinning murders on members of society he deems to be unworthy was horrifying. I approached Detective Ryan with some information and hoped that she would take it seriously.

Alpha’s regret : The return of his rejected mate

“Because I know what it is to lose family to politics and power plays. And because… I need someone with your specific set of skills.” “Skills?” I laughed bitterly. “I’m a maid, Alpha. I know how to scrub floors and warm beds.” “You survived in the house of a man who executed your father for years without getting killed yourself,” Wulfric corrected. “You observe. You listen. You know how to be invisible. Those are not the skills of a maid, Helen. Those are the skills of a detective.”

His reluctant Luna

His reluctant Luna

Peter said. My wolf howled to see her blood. Dame! She is hurt. Wolves mostly relied on their sense of smell and other instincts for tracking, but I had learned we couldn't rely on just that. Forensic science has much better results. I had invested in and trained my best trackers to use forensics as well. That is why they got accurate information. "And whom does that fingerprint belong to?" I asked. "We need to test that, but I am not sure whom should we test against? "

I loved this book. Just wanted to see them have babies and see where that would take the story. She's a powerful wolf so I assume someone else is gonna want to get her or have pups with her. Waiting for a follow up.

How is this book completed here with 60 something chapters, when it’s on another app with 100 something chapters and says it’s completed there? Yet if you go to the comments on there you find out that there’s actually 10 chapters left off. No I’ve not read this book, just asking a question.
