They become noisy, their chatter, and gibber becomes louder and come close to Dexter little by little Dexter cut small branches of tree and ready to hit anyone who will come close to him. Gilbert, after a moment's consideration, finally complied without comment.

Because those men look like trouble, and we have Daxton with us, and, “Come on!” Daxton pulls us toward the ring toss. “I want the dinosaur!” The next hour passes in a blur of carnival games and junk food. Dante wins Daxton an absolutely massive stuffed T-Rex that’s taller than Daxton himself. We ride the Ferris wheel, the three of us crammed into one car, rising above the city as the lights spread below us like fallen stars.

Dexter continued to yell. We looked at each other, and we stepped away from Dexter, who was still making a scene. He grabbed one guard and broke his hand, then he kicked another to the ground before pounding his knee in his neck. "I WANT DAISY!!!" He was throwing a tantrum like a child who had lost his favourite toy. It was appalling to watch the Alpha of a pack behave this way. I turned to Tony.

Ward 07. He took a deep breath, with the hamper still clutched in his left hand, as he looked around. From the sounds he heard in Exec. Ward 07, he could tell the occupant was watching Dexter’s Laboratory. He could hear Dexter reprimanding his elder sister Deedee, for bringing her friends into his secret laboratory… “That’s not what I asked you to do you imbecile,” she fumed at him, banging her fists on the brown table in the boardroom.

With the air of the Luna of the pack, Lyana haughtily told Dexter to take out his toys from his bag and share them with Cayden. "Dexter, give the toys Theron bought to Cayden." But Dexter clutched the two identical pony figurines tightly in his arms and began wailing aggrievedly, rolling on the floor in a tantrum. "No! Daddy Theron bought these for me!" I looked at Cayden. Usually, he would've burst into tears by now. But this time, he calmly told Lyana, "Let Dexter keep them all. I don't want them." Guilt and sorrow flooded my chest.

*FLASHBACK* “Give that back to me Dex..” I hear a female voice outside my door, I stand up and peek through the key hole, I see a shadow pass. I open my door slightly and like a rush of wind, Dexter and the girl run past me down the stairs, slowly I follow them behind captivated by her. “You act like a boy..” Dexter holds up the toy car, “..this is a boy's toy” “At least I act like a boy, you on the other hand would never know what that feels like…chicken!” he gasps and she lunges at him, both of them falling to the ground.

Her eyes followed the serpentine coil with a sense of fascination as it elegantly wound its way across his upper arm, elegantly descending to the forearm. The sophisticated details of the serpent's form drew her in, its eyes gleaming with danger; a representation of the darker facets of his existence. The serpent began intertwining with the Skeletal Tree with Bats. Skeletal branches reached skyward, and bats hung in eerie stillness, painting a haunting scene that captured Dexter's supernatural essence.
