The girl meets another boy, who is a witch, and then another boy who happens to be a leprechaun. They all fall in love and have a lovely life full of magic and love. But fairy tales only seem simple on the outside. And our story is still beginning.

Trios were allowed to exist again. But right on the heels of that, a group of witches showed up—called the Riding Hoods. Yeah, as in Little Red Riding Hood. Turns out the old story was true. The original Red was killed by a rogue werewolf. Her sister got revenge, then decided her new life mission was killing every werewolf on Earth. She built a cult of twisted followers, and now we’ve got a bunch of mummified witches coming for our throats. We beat them back in America, sent them crawling back to Europe. But they didn’t stay quiet.

The woman announced as she motions for us to come closer. The first costume consists of full reds. There was a black corset and top underneath it but the bottom one was red and so was the hood. “This costume is inspired from the character in the famous tale, little red riding hood which is a little red herself. Red Riding Hood is a tale about a young girl who comes to visit her grandmother only to find a wolf that plans to eat her. It was quite a happy ending since the wolf was killed and they were safe,” The woman told the tale.

I asked. He threw his head back and laughed, “You should read more, in some parts of the world some humans are also wolves,” I chuckled, “In the book world, not the real world.” “So what if it’s the real world and I was a werewolf, would you date me?” His weird questions were making me uncomfortable and suspicious. Why was he asking me if I would date a werewolf, would he do the same? “We wouldn’t have even met in the first place. Have you read Little Red Riding Hood? The wolf tried to eat her up. Wolves are cunning and dangerous. Who in their right mind would date one?”

Then she looks at Kaia, “My Kaia…what swollen lips you have. Did you play little red riding hood or something with Isaiah?” I looked at her curiously. “Little red riding hood?” “You’ve never heard of that story?” Sinclair asked. “Can’t say that I have.” “There’s a big, bad wolf and he tries to eat little red riding hood.” She winked. I looked at her strangely, “That’s a real story?” “Children’s story.” Kaia said and then she smirked at Sinclair, “Maybe I wanted my big, bad wolf to be a big, bad wolf, Sinclair.” She winked.

“Okay. Story about a coat.” Lyra sat on the edge of the bed and reached for one of the books on the shelf. Her hand hovered over a battered copy of *Little Red Riding Hood*—then veered away. There are no big bad wolves tonight. She picked a different one instead. Something about a small dragon who refused to learn how to roar properly and became a doctor instead. As she read, Luna’s eyelids drooped. Her fingers loosened on the stuffed wolf. Her breathing slowed, evened out.

Jack shouts over the music to me but before I can answer him a young, she-wolf I don't recognize shows up beside the table with drinks on a tray. "Excuse me, Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Alpha Romero asked me to bring these drinks over to you as a small thank you for this evening!" We all look over to his table as he gives us a nod and smiles and we take the drinks from the she-wolf and thank her. It's not unusual for an Alpha to send drinks to another Alpha's table out of respect so none of us thinks anything of it as we carry on chatting.
