Izzy even looked very impatient to be able to open and eat all of the cake and bread that was in the bag about right now. But when Izzy looked back at Arther, the smile that had previously appeared on Izzy's face, was right now starting to seem to disappear. “Brother, what happened to those two eyes of yours right now?” Izzy asked in that panicked tone of her voice immediately.

Maya suddenly lifted her phone, circling Izzy like she was on a photoshoot. “Don’t move,” Maya said. “You look too good.” Izzy frowned. “Maya… what are you doing?” “Documenting your comeback,” Maya replied, already taking pictures. Izzy stood near the bar, club lights washing over her, Adrian just a step behind her. She didn’t pose at first, but Maya kept talking. “Relax your shoulders. Chin up. Yes… like that.”

Joshua smiled, “That’s good. I already linked mom and Matt. I’m sure they’ll be here soon.” As soon as he finished talking, Honi burst through the door, “Izzy! How are you doing? Any pain? I can make some tea for you that will help with pain.” I chuckled, “I haven’t had any pain at all. I had a short back ache this morning, and a little tightness in my belly all day, but no pain.” Her eyebrows raised, “Really? Are you serious?” I laughed as I nodded, “Really.” She just shook her head, “You’re unbelievable.” I shrugged, “I must have a really high pain tolerance.”

As soon as we walked back into camp, Izzy took one look at us and knew something was wrong, and she instantly came running over, her eyes immediately noticing the gashes along my shoulders and arms. “What the hell happened?” “Rogues attacked”. Dante told her and she gasped with worry. “Are you ok?”. She asked both me and grams. “We’re ok. I just need to get these scratches cleaned out”. I replied, then I took her hand with a dumbfounded expression. “Izzy, my claws came out, and grams said my eyes were orbing, apparently they were glowing!”. She gasped again, this time with a smile widening across her face. “Raven! That’s so exciting!”. She said as she pulled me in for a hug.

“Wow. Honestly, it’s good you have them. No one knows what those stalkers might do. Anyway, how’s your first day with Seth?” Miya asked. A soft smile touched Izzy’s lips. “Fun. He’s Seth Santiago, after all.” “Fun? That’s it? I was hoping for ‘wild, wet, and dirty.’” Miya joked, making Izzy grimace playfully. The rest of the morning went smoothly. Izzy got so caught up with work that she didn’t even realize it was lunchtime until Miya called her. No wonder she was starving. She also found herself wondering—why was she always either sleepy or hungry lately?
