Digital Circus Tropes Novels & Stories

The Nightmare Master usually has me beat the freaks with it when they make a mistake. I'm not sure they actually made any mistakes, but it's not like I can refuse. There are about six freaks in the circus. I think there used to be more, but well, I'm sure you can figure that out. Each of them performs feats that a regular person could never do, and each performance has to be death-defying but also perfect. More than once, a freak has gotten severely hurt during a performance. Thankfully, one thing they can do is heal fast because if they become useless, the Nightmare Master would be more than happy to discard them.

“I told you not to say that again. You need to answer my question, no bullshit, or I swear I will throw you over this railing right now.” He snorted out a small laugh. “Fine. One answer. The circus works in ways you couldn’t ever imagine. They steal, they peddle, they stash away. But tonight…” He stopped talking and looked back up at the stage instead. “Tonight, Alpha… tonight you’ll see what talents they really have.” I was about to say something more when the curtains to the stage opened and the mystical musics played. The performance was starting.

There was a massive curtain at the front of the stage, with a chair behind it. Before I could even register what was happening, Abigail was lying on the chair. She twisted her waist seductively, her hands gliding over the part between her legs. Her bold and provocative dance moves were enough to make my jaw drop. The men's gazes grew more intense, and even I found myself swallowing hard, feeling a strange heat rising within me. Just then, a pair of hands grabbed me. I turned in panic, my eyes filled with confusion. The hands were large, their palms burning with heat, sending electric jolts of warmth through my body.

Each decision he makes changes the past, changes he and Rosetta’s fate Nia and Eros were still drowned in their thoughts, Nia didn't notice that the Duke had left her side and taken the stage. He smiled at the crowd, clicking his fingers to gain their attention and the moment they looked, he said in a heartwarming voice, “I'm pleased to tell you that for today's event, the butterfly circus troupe is here to entertain us.” Nia exchanges looks in panic with the Eros, she looked around confusedly as half the room gasp in anticipation. The butterfly circus troupe? What was that , she turned to her side anxiously, hoping she could read people’s lips as they they whispered about it, in hopes to ca

That's what happens when you let a fairy pick the club. I rethought my assessment as soon as I walked in the door. Although, I still wouldn't have named the place Monarch. Circus would have been more appropriate or maybe Cirque since there was a gilded, Old World meets Band of Gypsies décor going on. The room was narrow with two tangled balls of glowing tubes hanging from the ceiling. A slim length of sleek bar ran along the length of one side. Behind the bar was a glittering display of alcohol and above that was a burgundy wall decorated with autumnal swirls. To the right of the swirls was a round opening bordered with a gold frame. Within this hole, a female acrobat hung from a black hoop

I saw some cutouts with headholes where visitors could pose for pictures. We took our time enjoying and exploring each attraction. The circus we visited had a show that lasted less than an hour. It featured trained animals performing tricks, a contortionist, and an athletic duo performing thrilling stunts for the average person. I couldn’t stop clapping, amazed at the cooperation between the animals and their trainers, who used simple cues like finger snaps, claps, and firm commands. "Richard would probably enjoy coming here." Watching the performance reminded me of my son and his pet robot. He could find some new inspiration from these shows.
