Too Late to Regret

Too Late to Regret

if they were to launch a sudden attack, there wouldn't even be time to flee. Charlie squeezed her hand, giving her a look that said: *Relax, they won't make a move so openly.* Candice didn't share his extraordinary composure: *Please, Mr. Fletcher and Denise are two peas in a pod. There’s no telling what they’d do once they lose their minds.* However, nothing went wrong until the end of that act. The subsequent acts became increasingly eye-catching, evolving from traditional acrobatics to bloody magic shows and then to animal acts involving fierce beasts. The further it went, the more heart-stopping and physically unsettling it became.

It's too slow in updates. The author should consider the readers mindset. We read other stories on these platforms and this kind of slow phased update is disappointing and the reader also loses the interest and plot. Dear author please update more chapters per day ......

Rejected and Wanted By the Alpha

Rejected and Wanted By the Alpha

For Talia, Luciano’s story about the celebration sounded fantastic, and she was confident that Luciano gets the most garlands every year. Luciano saw the excitement in her expression. “It’s a fun day. You will see.” Talia understood that his explanation was over. She returned her gaze to the window on her side in time to see the last few houses of Darkbourne before the road took them through the forest again. She wondered what kind of performances would be included. Will there be a circus? Olivia told her that in the circus, people do all kinds of moves and they walk on a rope that is super-high, and there are animals and magic… and clowns. She wanted to see that.

Ruby Fridays

Ruby Fridays

I wanted to flee, but my feet seemed rooted to the spot. Yet, above all... I knew I had to sit. To play the game —the game of truth or dare in this sinister place. As I settled into one of the chairs she gestures, her cold voice that seemed to come from a robed figure turned to face me. Beneath her cowl, a grisly skull grinned a jawless smile she hides, that seemed to emanate from all around me, "Welcome, my child, to the Circus of Sorrows. Here, truth and lies become twisted together. Deception is the rule of the game. Your life may depend on how well... you can play."

...... Never read a book well written like this before. Full of emotions, and surprises. The cliffhangers are just............ I don't know what to say aside from the fact that it's soooooo good! I'm happy I had seen this in the most popular stories section. Hope it will be on the front page next......

Whisper of the stone heart

Whisper of the stone heart

I was the clown. I clenched my fists tightly and raised my hands and arms in the air, like a performer in a circus dramatically standing then smiled widely. The slave-dealer beckoned he had his eyes on me; I bet he assumed I was abiding by his rules. It was until I started dancing ridiculously that he fumed. He tried to peer before me. I could duck under his gaze but that would mean I should stop. However, for tonight, I wouldn’t let anyone lay me down, for I WAS A PERFORMER. I spread my legs and whirled screaming strange noises. Hi. Ha. Ho. Hu. Moo. Copying pigs and cows were my favourite part.

Alpha's Dirty Secrets

Alpha's Dirty Secrets

It had a sort of gothic vibe to it, like something out of Phantom of the Opera. "Maybe it's a travelling circus or something?" Thomas asked, and went onto his phone to G****e the name. And that was indeed the case. It seemed to be a real circus, although not well-known, and they had both animals and acrobats, and a side tent featuring different carnival games - even an old-fashioned freak show. The website listed upcoming dates, and they would only be in town for one night. Tomorrow. "They set all of their stuff up for a single show? That's pretty ballsy," Tyler said.

In-Love with More than One

In-Love with More than One

It’s everything I imagined—and more. The theme is “Elegance & Spectacle.” Translation? Upscale circus. There are towering floral centerpieces shaped like spinning wheels and red velvet drapes framing golden light. The string quartet is suspended on swings above the main floor, and the catering staff wear crisp black with subtle nods to ringmaster chic—striped lapels, satin gloves, bold red lipstick. A fire breather performs near the grand entrance, timed with the crescendo of music. Somewhere to the left, a contortionist folds herself into a gilded hoop like human origami. And in the center of it all? The stage.

To live or to love

To live or to love

The trapeze artists swung gracefully through the air, catching each other with ease, while the clowns made the children laugh with their silly antics. The main attraction was the lion tamer, who commanded the respect of the enormous beasts with just a flick of his whip. The lions roared and circled around him, but he stood his ground, fearless and confident. The music added to the festive atmosphere, with a live band playing upbeat tunes thaDerek and Aurora made their way to their seats, they were immediately struck by the vibrant energy of the circus. The lively chatter of the audience mixed with the blaring music from the performers created a chaotic but thrilling atmosphere. The acrobats

The Alpha's Freakshow

The Alpha's Freakshow

Axel The lights in the oversized tent dim, and the murmuring of the crowd falls silent. You can feel the buzz of anticipation. The excitement is nearly contagious. My eyes scan the crowd, pleased with tonight’s turnout. We’ve been here for two weeks promoting this very night, giving snippets of what the show is about. Little insights into the magic beyond the human eye. Illusions are what many call them. Playing on the mysticisms of the folklore surrounding shapeshifters and the world they can’t imagine because science can’t dictate it.

Really loving this book, such a refreshingly different storyline. I jumped straight in without reading the synopsis and it turned out to be so different from my expectations. A well written peice of literature and the only thing I would suggest is taking a little more time to structure the chapters
Jamie
I enjoyed this book but I felt the issue with his brother was left unresolved...not sure if that's going to be a separate book or not. abe was supposed to have a meeting with Wade but we didn't find out what happened. I will continue reading the wonderful books written by this author

The Lycan fated mate

Their swordplay, a combination of fierce strikes and skillful parries, elicited gasps of admiration and applause from the enchanted audience. The enchantment continued with a mesmerizing circus performance, where agile acrobats effortlessly soared through the air, their bodies twisting and twirling in a breathtaking display of strength and flexibility. The crowd held their breath as they witnessed daring feats on the trapeze, high-wire acts that defied gravity, and captivating fire dances that flickered and blazed in harmony with the pulsating music.

Trick

Trick

"All right, let's show Trick our costumes." When we come out, I clear my throat, because he's watching the kids already roaming up and down the street. He turns around, and the look on his face is priceless. "Holy shit," he claps a hand over his mouth. "You're fairies." "Or Sprites," I laugh. "You pay attention," he nods towards me, reaching for Riley's hand. "I do," I reach into the pocket I've sewn into my skirt. "Let me take a picture of you two."

OMG! This book is so good! I have laughed so hard at some parts of this book. Some parts had me emotional. This is absolutely hands down one of the best books I have ever read. This is the second book I have read by this author and the stories have been fantastic! Seriously, read the book!
Allie
This book is definitely worth reading. Guaranteed you won’t be disappointed. It was very hard for me to put the book down because of how captivating the story was. I would have kept reading if there were more chapters, but the ending was great.

Frequently Asked Questions

Digital circus tropes in animation are like comfort food—familiar, sometimes cheesy, but always entertaining. One classic is the 'glitchy virtual world' where characters realize their reality is breaking down, like in 'ReBoot' or 'Tron: Uprising.' Pixelated distortions, corrupted environments, and characters getting 'deleted' ramp up the stakes. Another staple is the 'AI clown'—a chaotic, unpredictable program with exaggerated humor, often serving as comic relief or villain. Think of Him from 'The Powerpuff Girls' but digitalized.

Then there's the 'level-based arena,' where protagonists battle through themed zones, each with its own rules. 'Sword Art Online' popularized this, but even older shows like '.hack//Sign' played with it. The trope leans into gaming culture, making it instantly relatable. My personal favorite? The 'hacker kid' trope—some prodigy typing furiously to 'hack the mainframe,' usually with absurd visuals like floating code cubes. It's ridiculous but endearing, like 'Cyberchase' on steroids.
