I fully believed what Jaden and my mother-in-law had told me. This time, I took a deep breath, closed my eyes, and turned on the phone. Most of the beginning of the recording was filled with meaningless conversations until Jaden appeared on-screen, holding raw meat. I heard him say, “Please give us your blessing and turn the baby inside Dina’s womb into a boy.” Who was Dina? And why did he want to bless her child? That’s when it suddenly clicked. Dina Meyers had been an intern at Jaden’s company while she was still at university. Jaden used to complain about her to me at the beginning.

He turns to look at me, with a small smile that tells me it was entirely his intention to surprise me, and puts a hand on my shoulder. “My Lady has kept me busy since the day we met.” Andromeda turns her attention to me and I give her a smile on instinct. “It’s a pleasure to meet you, Lady Gravitas. I’m Dinah. A traveling scholar from the east.” I say like a well-rehearsed sales pitch Andromeda takes a good, long look at me, scanning me from head to toe, before she turns to Zen once more. “Should I have the girls give this one a better look? I’ll charge ya half the price.” She says seriously, as if she didn’t just openly tell me she thinks I’m a mess

His body tensed when he noticed the man reach out to shake her hand, lingering just a moment too long. Jealousy, as vivid as moss clinging to a tree, coursed through him. What could he have said to elicit such a radiant smile? And why was he invading her personal space? “It’s a pleasure to meet you, Mr. Grady,” Hera beamed. “You can call me Shawn. Logan held her chin, forcing her to look at him. "I know you want to tell me more, so go on. I'm here to listen, I want to listen." Logan let go of her chin as Joy stood up. She lifted up her dress till her abdomen, revealing pale legs, milky thighs, a plain white underwear covering her lady parts and her smooth stomach. Logan could feel heat rise in his cheeks as he felt himself getting both embarrassed and confused.

Behind him followed his dad and a lady I didn’t recognise. “Leah, it’s great to see you. We are glad that you could make it today.” Jack offered me his hand. I shook his hand, “Thank you for the opportunity to interview for a position here.” “Leah, this is Julie Shepherd. Julie this is Leah.” Julie held her hand out, “It’s a pleasure to meet you.” “Likewise.” I shook her hand. “Thank you for bringing her up, Logan.” Julie smiled at him, there was something all too familiar about the smile.

Her voice is a little bit tremulous. Her name is Nana and looking at her… I really could tell she was one of those girls that the DEA officer had sold off to Mr Thwane Clark sometime last week.
