Regardless, I maintain a poker face as I watch the detective bow respectfully. “Your Grace….”. He says and lowers his head cordially. How courteous. “... I'm Detective Asher Glen and I'm in charge of the case of Vander Djik Gerald who was found dead in the early hours of this evening”. I nod in complete understanding. “It's nice meeting you, detective”. “We are questioning everyone in case anybody heard or saw anything that might be helpful to the investigation. We'd appreciate your cooperation, Luna”. I glance at Draaven but his face is once again empty and expressionless as he lets the detective and I have our conversation.

The way he walked, he was the type who meant business. Gildeon hadn’t been on Earthland for long, but he’d already learned how to spot a serious law enforcement officer when he saw one. “Hi, good afternoon!” the man greeted with a polite smile as Gildeon met him halfway. “Is this where Mrs. Araheen Ayadi lives?” “Who’s asking?” Gildeon asked brusquely. Behind him, he heard Arah’s footsteps coming off the porch. “I’m Special Agent Harlan Durante,” he replied, handing Gildeon a badge. “I’m here to talk about a case.”

Despite every rational reason not to. She needed answers. Needed clarity. Needed something. The parking garage felt cold. Concrete. Steel. Flashing emergency lights. The atmosphere alone felt wrong. A sheet covered the body. Police officers moved around it. Photographing. Documenting. Investigating. One detective approached Julian immediately. Middle-aged. Serious. Tired. "We have a problem." Julian's expression didn't change. "I've noticed." The detective didn't smile. Didn't react. "You're going to want to see this."

I quicken my step. My shoes squeak on the grimy tile floor as I make the turn at the head of the stairs. Dim sunlight filters in through a skylight dome the color of sour milk but doesn’t quite reach the end of the corridor where my office sits—the last of four. The fluorescent tubes are dead at my end of the hall. I slot my key into the doorknob by the scant illumination spilling through the frosted glass window in the door, stenciled with gold letters: INSIGHT DETECTIVE AGENCY—MILES LANDRY, PI.

The best he can do is to play by the rules of the kind family housing him. “Very well then.” Mrs. Willie breaks into a soft smile. “Breakfast is ready,” she said glancing at Jane and then switching back her gaze to Lucas. AT THE MORGUE Detective White makes his way around the morgue cabinets. The corpse of the diener was still lying in the pool of his blood. Detective White inspects the cabinets to know if he could find any clues. However, his expectations weren’t cut off; they are multiple deep scratches on the cabinets. He brought his head close to the first scratch. “This can’t be from a wild bear,” he said.

As the sun dipped below the city's skyline, Nelson's penthouse was bathed in shadows, casting an eerie ambiance over the room. The air was thick with tension as the seasoned detective, a secret agent in Nelson's relentless purpose, silently entered. In his hands, he held an inconspicuous envelope – a harbinger of revelations that could unravel lives. "Mr. Nelson, I've gathered the information you requested," the detective intoned, his voice a low murmur in the dimly lit room.

she pressed the dagger deeper in his neck “I-I... “ His legs vibrated out of fear “Speak” Blood slowly started dripping down from his neck “I-I wasn’t actually following you, I came here to investigate the death of my friend “ “ your friend? “ she raised an eye brow, giving him a questioning look. “ Yes my friend, he was one of the victims” “why can’t you leave it in the hands of the police? “ Williams bit his lips and his eye lids drooped “Because I know the police can’t solve it “ “ And why do you think that? “ Her pressure on the dagger reduced causing Williams to be more confident

Didn't she get it? Do you get it? * I pressed my fore finger against the scanner and the door to the pent house slid easily open. Calculating to which room would be my immediate destination. I entered the office and seated myself around the large desk a bottle of liquor and two glasses before me. Pouring the alcohol into one of them, I downed the shot and quickly refilled the glass, groaning a content "fuck"as the strong drink scorched my throat. Scrolling through the iPhones contacts, I contacted myprivate investigator, Derrick Austin. He was an older man who worked as a detective for the NYPD but resigned half a decade ago to start his private investigation company.

Diego says to Shawn with a smile on his face, “Yes I am, so you know not to keep an angry Wolf waiting,” My brow furrowed at my Beta's words; For real? However, before I could say a word, Diego laughed out loud, bringing our attention to the man in front of us, I chose Diego for the investigation because of his competencies, he owns and runs a secret detective agency. And No, he is not a shifter but a human, yet he knows about us. Last night I sent him the details of everything that happened at the party, and who we were skimming for.

Trying to act as the husband of the deceased, who's still grieving. “Let them in,” I muttered. My voice was calm like a still water. The lead detective introduced himself—Detective Hart, Internal Investigations. Cold eyes. Firm grip. The kind of man who’d spend hours watching without saying a word, just to see what you’d reveal. “We’ve received a tip pointing us toward a new suspect,” he finally said, his hard gaze fixed on me. “We’d like to ask you a few questions,” he continued. “Of course,” I replied. “Anything I can do to help,” I said as I clasped my hands together.
