Life isn't fair but I try to be. He sits down in the leather chair from across my desk with wolfish grin. I can already sense his cockiness and male ego that radiates off him. "Hi, I'm Jake," he says as he reaches out to shake my hand. "I wasn't expecting a women," he adds with a wink. Don't deck him in the nose I think to myself. "Me?, I'm Jake," He said, with a smile running down the corner of his lip, and just then, his fangs came out.

My late father's name was Lion.” Syila looked at Jake disapprovingly. “After the tiger, had a son of the king of the jungle, why was it downgraded to a Jaguar?” Jake stared straight at her, his tongue licking her lips before pulling Syila towards him. He pushed Syila onto the bed, while the woman was still stunned by his savage gaze. “Don't start a fire if you don't want to get burned, honey.” Jake was already on top of Syila and showered that beautiful face with his killer kisses.

His skin is fair and tinted pink from the sun, and his hair is a mousy dark blond but unruly, touching his shoulders in rough waves. “Who are you?” I mouth, unsure if the words make any sense. I think I might have bit down hard on my tongue because it’s swollen and throbbing with echoes of dull pain. “Jake,” he says simply, casually, shrugging one shoulder. He has a teenager’s build–tall and lanky, like he hasn’t quite caught up with his height yet. “And you’re Brie, the captain's mate.” “Yeah,” I reply, my voice like gravel.

"What are you waiting for? Which one of you is going into the shark tank?!" A man roared on the stage. I looked at the vicious man on stage and let out a sigh. That was the infamous pirate captain, Captain Kaplan Levin. He was one of those brothers and I called him Tiger as his nickname. Luckily, his eyesight had always been poor. He likely did not recognize me with different makeup and the cleaners' uniform. Tiger kicked over the gaming table in front of him, and Winnie trembled out of fear as she hid behind Hank the best she could. "Hank, I'm scared. That scarface is so terrifying..."
