Divergent Novel By Veronica Roth Novels & Stories

Like Elizabeth was closing in, creeping into spaces that weren’t hers, and I was powerless to stop it. Still, I wouldn’t let her get the only thing that I could call mine. Elon, for example. “Of course, I wouldn’t let her, Abby. Besides, the house is in my name so I have a say. I have a strong feeling she didn’t know, though.” Alicia exhaled sharply, shaking her head. “That woman is a walking soap opera, and if we could just switch places, I would, willing. But listen, you’re strong. You’ll figure this out, and we’re here for you.”

RORY’S POV “Well, well, well look what we found,” the man on me growled. “The high and mighty Luna, all alone.” I struggled to push him off me, but he pressed a forearm across my throat. Then another set of hands grabbed my wrists and forced them above my head. While a third wolf stood watch, laughing still as he did so. These weren't wolves from our faction. They were rogues. “Hold her still.” I kicked against them and I think my boot hit something soft, causing one of them to curse out. The pressure on my throat increased until I started seeing patches of black and lines around the edges of my vision.

"If you refuse, or tell Damian, your father, or Christopher... the Master will trigger the mark you’ll watch your baby die inside you then you will rot while your Alphas watch after that, his army will cross the Iron River and kill everyone in this valley." Rihanna put the vial away and walked to the door. "3 days, Sarah," Rihanna said, pulling up her hood. "Decide if your child lives... or if your pride kills everyone." She vanished into the mist the smell of sulfur stayed. The moment she was gone, the pressure on Sarah’s chest lifted, the purple light faded. The mark went quiet and cold again. Sarah collapsed and cried, hugging her stomach. "No... please... I won’t let them take you..."

Chapter 81 Veronica's POV I knew I was dead. Or at least I thought I should be dead. But I could not phantom why it hurt so much. My head, my shoulders, and my lower abdomen. I couldn't open my eyes..or perhaps I could, I was just not willing to try because I did not know what would await me when I did. Willing myself to finally Garner the courage, I pushed my eyelids open, the stinging darkness biting through my lids like a venomous creature, slowly forcing me to close my eyes again and open them.

Veronica wrote more. Ethan read to her from the porch swing. They danced in the living room when the mood took them. Made love with windows open to the sea sound. Nights came softer. Sleep deeper. Dreams arrived full of silver light and names drifting on water. Weeks turned to months. Autumn arrived in gold and amber. Leaves drifted across the terrace. They raked them into piles. Burned them in the iron barrel. Watched smoke rise toward stars. One evening Veronica opened the notebook to a blank page.

So typical of the emprote fantasy world and obvious bad imagination of the book author. Vera’s situation was different. She entered the space pregnant, sane, and without powers of her own, and because of that, the land reacted to her body in a way the galaxy would never understand. Honestly, her written character did not understand it either. Vera in the book had been obsessed with her three males, and feeling better on that planet had been useless to her because her comfort was tied to the three men who had just disposed of her. But to the Vera who existed now, the one who had survived the apocalypse and knew the book, everything felt different. Who needed those men when this land was a doc

A gentleman would listen.” Lycus’s jaw flexed hard, Alpha fury flashing fiercely in his eyes. “Who are you to dare touch me?” The stranger did not blink, his tone unwavering. “Someone who heard a woman say no.” A dead hush fell over the entire hall. Lycus yanked his arm backward with all his strength, yet the man’s fingers held him fast as iron. Two powerful auras clashed violently—Lycus’s fierce, domineering power crashing against the stranger’s colder, deeper, more overwhelming strength. The air thickened, crackling with suffocating tension.

“I can’t take no for an answer, “Veronica said as she was fully transformed into her new monstrous form. Terrified of her ex-girlfriends’ transformation, June ran as far as she could hoping to reach the exit of the library. But Veronica pulled out a school locker out of the wall with her tail and threw it towards the exit, keeping June trapped within the library. “You will be mine,” Veronica said in her monstrous voice. “Whoa and I thought guys were pushy,” June said as she gestured her fingers to defend herself. In the blink of an eye, June released a barrage of fire to engulf as she ran to escape her wrath. “You will be mine.” Veronica said as she slithered toward June. She constricted he
