Equivale: Finding His Heart - Book two

Equivale: Finding His Heart - Book two

“Rayne! Are you safe?” “Uh for now, yes. I am up in the hayloft.” “Okay, the snake catchers are on the way. Stay out of striking range.” “I will. Make sure to tell them that the snake was baited into coming here.” “What? How is that possible?” “I don’t exactly know but there is a box in here that is releasing pheromones that seem to have attracted this snake here.” “Dammit!” I hear Lance curse and I feel a warmth spread from my chest at the thought that he is concerned for my safety. But I can easily understand if he is angry that someone could have placed this item here so close to the horses, our livelihood.

Midnight Feast

Midnight Feast

She was holding her breath, waiting for the worst scene to unfold when out of nowhere, a dozen, Nah, a dozen snakes appeared and rushed towards her. “Damn! Can’t you give me some quiet time?!” Layla screamed when the snake came flooding around her body. She thought about staying still and let them pass since maybe they were just taking a stroll, and she happened to be there but her strategy didn’t work as to how she wished it would. The snakes’ target was her all along. The smell of her blood attracted them thus she was left with one choice; to struggle yet again.

ATTENTION: Chapter 39 was uploaded twice. I'm sorry about this, just noticed it. I contacted an editor to remove the duplicate chapter. To avoid unlocking the same content, kindly check the chapter title. If you already read Chapter 39, don't proceed yet unless the next chapter states Chapter 40.

The book is well written and very interesting! However, keep in mind there is no happy ending for now. According to the author, there will be a sequel with a happy end, but it is still not in the app, hopefully soon. Personally, I can't wait about it.

Mika asked. “What else could it be? Do you have suggestion?” asked Oliver. “what if there’s a snake eating the fish?” Katleho asked. Oliver chuckled. “The water does not support any snakes, it is not a river or the dam. And if indeed there were snakes, then they would be no fish dying on their own.I think there is something toxic in the water.” said Oliver. “toxic as in chemicals?” Katleho asked. “Maybe, that’s what I want to find out. You can join me if you want, I will taking samples, later on today.” said Oliver.

she said, pressing herself against the wall in panic. The snake's body was writhing. "We don’t kill these kinds here. We collect them and give them to the authorities for proper disposal." "You mean, keep it? No way! What if it escapes?" "Snakes are afraid of humans. They crawl away when they sense your presence." "Are you crazy? That's not what it did to me earlier! It would bite me right away." "Then maybe it sensed danger from you." "Danger?" she exclaimed, her jaw dropping, "Me, danger?"

The Lion of Shadowfen

Aurelia held her nose, against the paint peeling odor, "I'll assume there is a point to this vile brew your making?" Zinjo grinned and threw some berries into the helmet, "Back home we use stink beetles to confuse the senses of snakes and lizards, we use a special stone to, extract the poison of such animals, and use them for hunting. It is my hope these abominations have similar senses." He used a stick to stir the mottled brown liquid, tendrils of acrid steam twisted and turned above the unholy elixir. Unfortunately, it will dull our sense of smell too and we must rely on our eyes and ears." Tiberius and his men covered their mouths and noses with thick linen, "How can you stand next to th

"You spend the night out here, bound in the woods." "There's bears out here!" I defend. My true worry is that I'll snap being left with ample time to escape and no way to use it. But what if I could get lose? "And snakes. What are the odds they'd harm you though? They typically avoid anything with human scent, right?" No. I've seen them on our damn porch growing up. "Ok." "Ok?" "I'll do it." "Suit yourself, but you never let me finish."

Alpha of the Deadly Arena

“Those spiders, they can crawl up trees.” The image alone made my skin crawl. Chest-high bodies, bloated abdomens, long hairy legs. “Isn’t there somewhere safer? A cave or something?” Kael shot me a brief, cold, annoyed look. “Safer? We’re in a cedar grove.” “Cedar trees?” “Spiders hate the smell. High resin content. I’m sure they won’t come near this area.” I hadn’t known that. There were no trees in my district—only moss and hydroponic plants, rare and expensive. I didn’t say any of that to Kael.

Large insects scurried in all directions, upset their home had been disturbed. “I think these are snake bite marks,” he said. “But the spacing isn’t right. It’s massive. We don’t have anything this big, even down here. I mean I’ve heard of boas being found in the Everglades—rich people flushing their pets when they get bored of them, sort of thing . . . ”

Worried they’ll kill them, I run downstairs, unlock the front door, and don’t think to close the door behind me. I run around the back to the Snakes bashing the two men. ‘Viper! Taipan! Boomslang! Stop it, you’re going to kill them!’ I yell. ‘Get back inside Zuri-doll! It’s not safe out here!’ Viper yells. ‘You’re going to kill them!’ I yell. ‘You don’t understand Zuri-doll! Just get back inside now!’ He yells. ‘More Spider Backs have been spotted a block away!’ Taipan yells.

The Witch Doctor, Hellblades Series Part 1 of 3

The smell of iron hung in the air, thick and metallic. Then I saw them. Snakes. Dozens, slithering along the carved lines. Their scales were black streaked with glowing red, their tongues flicking as they hissed in unison. I shivered so violently my teeth knocked together. Of all things in the world, I hated snakes the most. Adem coughed into his hand, trying to mask his fear. “Not… too bad.” Adlee swallowed hard, his voice cracking. “Yeah, I’ve seen worse in video games.”
