“Listen, doc, I appreciate the whole ‘not dead’ thing, but I need to go. My Alpha’s probably losing his mind.” He blinked. “Your… RA?” “NO. My Alpha. Graham. Tall, broody, looks like he could bench-press a truck?” The doctor sighed, scribbling something on his clipboard. “I’m prescribing you less head trauma.” I flopped back against the pillow, defeated. “You know what? Fine. Whatever. Just get this IV out so I can escape before you diagnose me with ‘overactive imagination.’” He smirked. “Too late.” The door burst open before I could retaliate. Hannah and Lily tumbled in, their eyes wide with relief.

he says this last part looking at Trevor and Drake. Drake and I share a look and with an acknowledging nod and take his attention to Trevor. “Come on, champ, let's see what other fun stuff they got out there. So, if you will excuse us, we will be outside.” “Thank you,” I mouth to him before he goes out the door. I face the doctor now, ready to take on the news with a brave face. “Now, Miss Alexa, I don’t want to put you in panic mode, so I’ll explain everything one at a time. Are you ready?” he paused to stare at me.

I blinked, swallowing hard, barely hearing Suzanne’s soft laughter beside me. "Dominic, are you tearing up again?" I scoffed, shaking my head slightly, and forcing a smirk. "You’re imagining things." But she wasn’t. And she knew it. Because for the first time, I saw our future. Right there, on the screen. “You are all good to go, Mr&Mrs Khan, you just need to sign these documents,” The doctor said as he opened his drawer and brought them out. By the time we stepped back into the room, I saw them immediately.

I order a cab. Then, under my breath, like a prayer, like a threat: “The doctor better have good news. Or I swear…” *** I sit across from Dr. Adler. His face is drawn tight, like he's spent all night deciding how to tell me the world is ending. There's a soft buzzing in my ears. A ringing. High-pitched, low-pitched — I can’t tell. I stare at his lips as they move. They look like they’re forming normal words, but all I hear is static.

Kerwood rushed back to Dylan but stopped in her track when the doctor's hand went up high right before he lowered it with a force to smash the glass in his hand, causing them to all flinch in shock. The shards of clear glass spread across the room, and when things couldn't end up anymore shocking for them, the doctor stepped closer to Dylan and felt his pulse. He wasn't mistaken when he saw the light green glow behind the strange man's back as it lasted only a second before he pulled his hand away from Dylan. "There. He should be okay now." The guy turned to them and his eyes twitched at the touch in his memories from the familiar dark eyes now staring at him. "W-"

The nurse replied "yes, sure, the Doctor wants to see you, his office is at the extreme, by the corridor at your left." "You were With Roxanne ... Nexter?" The Doctor inquired. "Yes doctor, how is she?" Audrey replied, she was wearing a worried look as she was waiting for the doctor to break the news. "Don't do that, Doctor! You're going to leave Alpha Cedric cold outside. Let him sleep here in another chair. There! You see that chair, right? It was the perfect place for him to sleep. So let him sleep here, okay?” Doctor Gordon narrowed his eyes at Scarlett as he approached her. Now he stared at her curtly. “Do you want to have Alpha Cedric so you embarrass yourself like this? Is that why you threatened to torture Estelle to death this afternoon?” I was astonished. What did he mean? ***

The hugs made him feel warm and fed his brain faith that they will make it through this. Kruze and Pax were quiet after, sitting next to each other. Pax’s hands in his lap, with his legs swaying about. Kruze’s in his face, his elbows pressured to his knees. Suddenly, The Doctor came out and faced Kruze, he stood up from the chair with a worried croak, “Doc? Are there results? What’s wrong with my wife? Please.” he said nervously,

“Don’t worry, Doctor, I will remember all of those and will do as advised.” “Alright. Then I guess, I need to process now your discharge. If you’ll excuse me, Alpha King Dantes and Luna Queen Andreitte. I’ll be back in a while,” The Doctor said and then left the room in a hurry. “My Alpha King, what happened? All I could remember that day after our wedding ceremony was that, there were sounds of gunshots and then I felt something hit me and then I passed out. Who shoot me?” Andreitte became serious as she remembered the last thing before she felt like losing her breath that time.
