“When you saw Billy’s body, you mentioned defensive wounds. Scratches, bruises… anything like that, right?”
“Yes,” she confirmed. “There were signs he fought back.”
Peter’s eyes sharpened.
“Then tell me this, Doctor… if my client…” he turned and pointed at me again, “a human with no claws, no fangs, no regenerative powers, if he fought Billy Campbell, a trained wolf, an Alp, even drugged, wouldn’t you expect to see something on *him*?”
