The Goddess Vessel
He was a weapon, safely holstered and aimed at the enemies of the pack.
Borin stared at him, his expression unreadable. The suspicion in his eyes was still there, but it was now mixed with a dawning, horrified understanding. He was not looking at a redeemed wolf. He was looking at a living warning of what true evil could create, and what true strength could contain.
After a long moment, Borin turned and walked out of the room without another word.
We followed him back into the compound. He stopped, taking a deep breath of the cool evening air as if to clear the claustrophobic feeling of the room he'd just left.
