Dogman Age Range Novels & Stories

"Doc, I don't understand. Max is still young; I know some dogs make it to 15-20-year-old, but why Max? And isn't it too early for him to get this kind of disease?" "I'm sorry that you are going through this, Angel, but sadly not all dogs reach as old as the others. There's a lot of factors we have to consider; early detection is the best. If only we detected the fibrosis earlier, it would have been easy for us to treat him."

The man I was currently staring at had all the telltale signs of being an Alpha. I didn't know for sure, but assumed it was the friend Ike was talking about before. He was tall and strong looking, with piercing grey eyes. He had a "no bullshit" look about him. Physically, he looked to be in his fifties, with salt and pepper hair accompanied with a matching beard. Knowing how wolves aged though, he was probably... hundred eighty? Two hundred, tops. They stopped aging somewhere in their twenties, then start back up when they get to be around a hundred. Then they loosely age a year physically for every actual ten. It's a rough math, and has been known to vary, but it's a good base to go off of

She smiled, “a lot so far, but nothing you’d really be interested in, not now anyway.” Dad piped up, “here’s something interesting, did you know that we age differently than humans,” he chuckled as he looked at Mom, “seems you looking 20 is normal for a she-wolf of 38.” She narrowed her eyes at him, “you’re not funny, but you are lucky to have me,” she giggled.

“I’m not your dad, but I’ll surely make a perfect dad for our pups. Don’t you think so?” I blushed, unable to answer or look at him. We would have to mate with one another to have pups. “I don’t want to get pregnant now.” I glared at him to warn him off me. He laughed and leaned back, looking satisfied with himself. “I’m in no hurry. You can grow up first.” I felt my blood boil. Was he implying I was still a kid? “I’m an adult in case you’ve forgotten. Most wolves are mated at eighteen.”

"On the contrary, two sets of eyes are always better than one. We don’t hover like some human parents but we don’t let them run uncontrolled. The pack raises the pups not just their parents. So, the pups must learn to respect all and if they are told something they need to do it. Now I am not saying parents aren’t important I’m not. Majority of the time parents have the final say. Now lessons, training both in war and other things are given to all pups. We don’t pass positions from parent to pup unless that is where they excel and show an interest in.” "How many pups are there in this pack?” "Oh, there are a number of groups. Pups range between the ages of newborn to around twenty-seven

What I know comes from what I’ve seen on TV. Mom then explained to me, that even though wolves age slower and can live longer we are mature at sixteen. And this was able acceptable for our kind. Therefore, when we change at sixteen years old, we are basically adults in our society. But still bound by the human society in terms of school and such. It is always a blessing to find out mates at a younger age mom said. Sometimes it could take years. Very rarely did it never happen.

The wood slowly picked up the flame and began burning. The smoke filled the air, watching it dance in the grey eyes of the man. He was not old, he was young but don’t be deceived, werewolf years were complicated. He could be of any age from thirty to two hundred. They reached an age where they stopped growing and lived for hundreds of years with their physical bodies never changing. I wondered how my lifeline went. I could die just the next day. What if I did not live past a certain age; it could be thirty, it could be a hundred? I knew nothing of the creature I was.

I said. What would you like to know, ma’am? “Well, for one thing, I assume that Dana and Kvik were born after the capitol fell?” Yes “How old are you?” I turned to the younger wolves. Kvik is four human years old and I am three. Dana spoke for both of them. I smiled to myself, she certainly was bold. “I’m not very familiar with the biology of your species, are you full grown?” They would be the equivalent of humans in their twenties. Luna stepped up and joined the conversation.

He runs a hand over his chair and leans back in his chair, and my smile falls as I glimpse the grief still creasing his their faces. I can see the wear the years have had on his body too, yet he still looks similar to the last time I’d seen him. Only a few more lines crease his handsome face. I need to remind myself that although we do age, we have an extended life as wolves. So since aging slows in our twenties these men might be much older than the fifty-odd years they look. I keep my annoyance off my face, wishing I’d put more work into noticing the subtle marks of the years on our kind while in the human world.

Derick said facepalming himself and disheveling his hair. Apparently, the so much love and attention Damien showered on his mate made him a little so emotional. This mate bond thing works like crazy. "Oh please, A mate? In your dreams. Like you are even up to Eighty" Oliver said and rolled his eyes. "Excuse me wolf, I'm eighty five" Derick retorted. Wolf's age and growth differs from humans. They stop growing in physe at the age of 10 or 11 until after some years.
