My Bully's Love

“No one needs to go to jail,” Jace says as he hovers over my father’s body, “He’s still breathing. We should staunch the blood flow and call for the ambulance.”
I glance down at my wife, “What do you want to do, baby? We can call for help, or I can take care of the body.”
She sighs, and God love her even more for the way her next words come out, “Well, we can’t really bury him if he’s still breathing, now, can we? I guess I don’t have a killer shot after all.”
