Dormant Relic Simply Swords Novels & Stories

The entire sword was engulfed in flames, flames that burned with the same three hues. This was one of the legendary relics of the ancient, the Sword of the Vermillion Bird. A weapon of immense power that could vanquish all that is evil. It was a weapon comparable with the Autumn Water, if not better, although it has been forgotten after so many years and no one thought of including it into the ranks of the most powerful weapons in the lands.

"That you have to go get it." "Why does this sound like a trick?" I crossed my arms over my chest. "Fine, don't believe me. I'm just trying to answer your questions." His form began to fade into shadows. "No, wait. I'll listen," I begged. His form solidified again. "Tell me about this Night Sword." Remi lifted his finger. "The Night Sword is a legendary sword that was foraged to defeat the eternal blackness. It is said-," "Wait... eternal blackness? Like the darkness?"

They didn't surrender, so it was very easy to take care of them with my special weapon. At the end of the narrow tunnel, a dull red glow pulsed like the heart of some sleeping beast. My pace quickened, boots scraping against brittle ground until the cavern opened into a massive chamber. There it was. The relic rested upon a pedestal of blackened obsidian, the surface engraved with old, looping runes I didn’t recognize. It was an axe—unlike any I had seen before. The metal was alive with fire, flames licking its edges yet leaving it untouched. Right above us, I could hear the cracking of thunder, a display of the ax’s powerful abilities.

“-werewolves. Plus there’s a couple of ceremonial-looking silver swords taken off werewolves they’ve fought. Those aren’t in the armoury, those are in the Gallery of Glory.” Tom snorts. “Guessing there’s no way we could get hold of any of them,” and Reese pulls a face and nods. Tony stirs in his chair. “I’ll need some convincing that it is the best course of action, but there are two silver swords in the Tombs. Not pure silver. Bronze core. Fancy figuring all over the surface.” “Really? Would they lend them?” Aiden asks. “Not the right question,” Tony replies. “First, you need to persuade me of the need to use them.”

I kicked as hard as I could right at his temple until he lost his balance and pushed him backwards. "Damn it!" he shouted as he shook his head quickly to snap himself out of his dizziness. After being able to stand up straight and calm, Elder Uwit clapped his hands forward, then stretched them slowly. A sword slowly appeared between his hands and released the energy that enveloped it. "Isn't that Elvoia's wooden sword!?" "That's right, an Elf ancestral relic sword!"

Nelson took a slow drag from his pipe and said, "Kid, I just asked around but didn't expect a crowd. They all came to help, not asking for a dime." I gestured to the planks behind me, "Just turn them into some makeshift bows and arrows, that'll do." Despite their confusion, the folks eyed the old-timey planks and got to work, led by a few eager beavers. Nelson sat by me, puffing away in silence. "Wooden armor, huh? Only someone extraordinary could rock that getup." …… Jim was extraordinary, alright. He was the general of my infant spirits army. I had armed him with a bow and many arrows, and as twilight fell, I suited him up in the armor myself.

I let her and Penn back away to stand by the tree trunk, keeping their distance from any power wave that might backfire when I swipe. Mustering up a strong determination, I kept my eyes on the medallion and raised the sword over my head. Exerting all my might, I swung it down. Whoosh! A gust of air raked up around me, practically doing nothing. The silver blade clinked on the medallion, making it rattle on the stone before it settled. I expected a burst of dark mana or a strike of lightning. Instead, the bloody relic emitted black tendrils that tried to wrap around the blade.

His gaze lingered on me for a second longer before he continued toward the exit, leaving both the apartment and a thousand questions behind in my mind. A part of me softened at the thought that perhaps I had been too harsh, but what else could I have done? "Those dreams will come again, and let's see what you do with them when they haunt the hell out of you." Those were his final words before he disappeared. His silhouette vanished alongside his figure, swallowed into nothingness. My heart hammered violently against my chest. Slowly, I approached the item. A relic of some sort. The wrought metal material looked like something from centuries ago, ancient even in its design. In the middle of a

Lucas looked at Nicole. Nicole smiled coldly. "You're indeed Lucas the Demon. You even saw through that." "However, what I know is way more than what you can imagine," Nicole added. "For example?" Lucas looked at Nicole. "For example, you never use the Legendary Weapons anymore, and the weapons in your possession have become the Immemorial Dragon Sword. We've analyzed the Immemorial Dragon Sword meticulously and noticed that the Immemorial Dragon Sword is way scarier than your Legendary Weapons.

I didn’t know vampires could also be affected by werewolves in such a manner… “It was probably because the rogues were using blessed relics… That could be the only explanation for her fever.” I looked at Lady Livia once more. Somehow, it seemed like she did know what she was talking about. “What kind of blessed relics did they use?” “Arrows, probably, and based on the wounds, maybe holy fangs.” I looked back incredulously at Lady Livia, and she seemed to have understood what was on my mind. Blessed relics – weapons that were offered to the temple and had undergone the purification process, were indestructible and work against many other clans. They are resistant towards any kinds of magic, e
