Lena's POV. “Hello, ma'am,” the doctor waved his left hand, and felt my pulse with his right hand. “How many fingers am I holding up?” “Can I get a name? Can you speak?” He continued, not even giving me a chance to think or respond. He suddenly stopped and pointed a little fluorescent light in my eyes. I squinted and groaned inaudibly from lying stiff for far too long. “Four, My name is Lena, and I think I can… talk,” I replied in a second, gulping as the man behind him moved closer and fixed his gaze on me.

Wendy, slow to react, finally realized her mistake and hurriedly explained, "Layla doesn't talk about you that often at school..." "Alright, alright. It's better if you don't say anything more!" Watching Wendy make the situation more confusing with her explanation, Layla could not help but cover her forehead in exasperation, her delicate face full of helplessness. Seeing all of that unfold, Liam could not help but chuckle. Layla quickly spoke again to explain on behalf of Wendy. "Liam, don't think that Wendy is slow to react. She's actually very nice! Wendy is from Juneau and came to South City for university, but it's a bit unfortunate that her health has always been poor..."

Wendy blinked, “Why not?” “That’s a gift Mr. Reinhart announced he would give you,” Lysia replied calmly. “Do you know who I am?” Wendy’s eyes glimmered with amusement, and she was clearly trying hard to hold back a laugh. "Wendy Morgan, the eldest daughter of the Morgan Corporation. I've attended parties at your house with my parents many times, but I’ve never met you. They say you’re often busy with your own company," Lysia paused for a moment to observe Wendy's expression before continuing, "And you are also my husband’s unofficial fiancée."

Teddy to attend to them. Dr. Teddy Nelson was a young man, 30 years old. "Doctor, how is Wendy?" Ruben rushed forward to ask, just as Dr. Teddy stepped out of the private ward where Wendy was admitted. "She is stable now. What happened? You know your sister is an Omega. How would she dare to get into a serious fight like that! We had to do six stitches to stop the bleeding," Dr. Teddy said, his voice thick with fury. Ruben lowered his head. "It's my fault, doctor. I wasn't able to protect her." He cried, and Dr. Teddy shook his head.

Jackson explained. Serenity realized with a start that Jackson had brought her here to give her a chance to meet Wendy Hale. Serenity had admired Wendy Hale since her university days. Wendy was a female lawyer and a prominent figure in the legal industry. Wendy was based overseas and mostly stayed abroad. Most of the lawsuits she handled were in foreign countries. Serenity had never met Wendy in person before. She never thought that she would meet her in a place like this. "But how did you know I wanted to meet Wendy?" Serenity asked curiously. She was a big fan of Wendy's and had read many of Wendy's cases.

I spend most of my days here, after school and before I leave, helping out with the pack affairs. "I know it sounds a bit weird," I said and turned to face Wendy. She was perched on the edge of my desk. She wore a lab coat stained with what looked like plant juice. She watched me intently. It'd only been a few days since my induction as a Luna with her as my soon-to-be primary healer, and she had already looked the part. The glasses, the aura shift. Everything about her now screamed professional. "It's not weird, but what do you hope to accomplish with this?" She said and adjusted her glasses again.

It exposed her long legs to the air, radiating an unspeakable sexiness. It was the secretary of the Lambert Corporation—Wendy Jensen.

Yves called himself a partner of a vet hospital and a visiting professor at Southcrest University of Tourism. Wendy looked back at him and sized him up. Then, she took out her phone. "We'll talk on WhatsApp."

I always find it hard to remember her name, I know her name has something to do with the months but I'm always terrible at remembering names, Wendy's friend cleaned her eyes, "Professor George, it's Wendy, she left the room for the presentation, but she isn't present and neither is she anywhere around the vicinity. I tried calling her, but her phone was switched off. This is not like Wendy at all. I'm scared something might have happened to her." My heart sank at her words, "Does she usually behave like this?" I asked and I know the answer, I've always had her on watch and my men always bring me reports and pictures or videos.
