The color represented the primary element that they drew their power from. Draco’s eyes were an electric blue because he drew his power from water. One might think that fire would be the most powerful element, but it was not. Water was because there were water molecules in the air that could be used as an extensive power source. Also, when there was no other way to fight, the water could be harnessed.

I hear several footsteps and screams, step out of the room, find Drake sitting in his chair with his head tilted back. "What's happened? He had to be as massive as a mountain. I had to admit that the Dragon was alluringly breathtaking. Luminous metallic purple scales cascaded over its entire form. Its wings arched slightly as they span across the sky. Its head turned down as it looked at me, with large radiant indigo eyes. When it redirected and started flying toward me, I stopped screaming and simply stared at the magnificent beast.
