Sonia explained. “Well, it turns out that the first vampire is known as Dracula. According to this book, Dracula was a person but it is recorded that his abrupt becoming a vampire is unexplainable. It is also stated here that Dracula came in contact with a human and turned her accordingly. Also, he is said to have birthed three children; Seth, Mometh, Sacropheth. Today all three are territories in the vampire kingdom” Leo finished explaining the book summarily to Sonia who was sitted listening quietly.

I had napped for a brief period before I was back in the library, surrounded by books and papers and cold tea. Roxanna's writing was far more elegant than my own, a beautiful swirl of words, but I almost didn't need to read them to know what they say. It was like I'd written them myself. Except for one. A small piece of paper that was tucked away in an original copy of Dracula, a gift from Mina Harker, a friend to Roxanna, and Bram Stoker who'd written it after hearing the tale from Johnathan and Abe themselves over a feast, and too much wine.

He plopped them down in my lap. They smelled musty and looked ancient. I opened the top one: vellum pages, elaborate hand-inked script, illuminated pictures- it looked like a medieval grimoire. I read their faded spines: “'THE SECRETIVE HISTORIE OFE DAEMONS AND FEY, bye LORD SAMMAEL MALKIRA.' 'An Inquiry Into the Heavenly Spheres; or, the Spiritual Realms: A Treatise by Dr. Mephistopheles.' 'The Idiot's Guide to Hell- by Aym the Disgruntled, upon Threat of Blackmail by Samael the Git.” I looked at him questioningly, holding the first one. “You wrote this? The handwriting's indecipherable,” I observed, examining the spidery script, “and apparently you have no idea what a dictionary is.

"You!" Dracula applied more force to his neck till the bones in it began to break. He sank his fingers deeper till he destroyed it and blood gushed out from it. After he was done, he got to his feet and noticed Mark had pressed the garlic to the side of his neck and he flicked it out, hating the unpleasant smell. He rushed into the kitchen, turned on the tap and bent to scrub the smell off him. The devil lied to him! Sun wasn't his only weakness, but this garlic had some kind of weakening effect on him. He tensed his dental bone and zoomed up to find Greg.

There are many other Rice novels, The Vampire Lestat, etc. 60. Dracula BY BRAM STOKER It's quite a gothic slog, but much of the current view we have of vampires comes from this 1897 novel. It wasn't the first or even the second in the English language, but it has staying power. The 1931 film with Bela Lugosi should be seen. 61-62. Bloodsucking Fiends: A Love Story; Suck: A Love Story BY CHRISTOPHER MOORE

Lucy said, looking at Dracula’s dark blue eyes that stare coldly. “‘Tis is I, Count Dracula. I was mesmerized by your lively nature by day, yet so enchantingly eerie and beautiful by night. Tell me, Lady Lucy Westenra, that you wish to be with me in the new life after this one, becoming one of my brides.” Dracula takes Lucy’s hand as he said the last sentence. “But you are a monster! There will be no good, no God’s light for a creature like you!” Lucy raised her voice while trying to release her hand from his.

EPISODE 3 I do not need much sleep, two hours at most, which I usually take when the sun is at its brightest. Sunlight does affect me, although it is not the mortal enemy Bram Stoker imagined in his tale of Count Dracula. I read the novel Dracula when it first came out, in ten minutes. I have a photographic memory with a hundred percent comprehension. I found the book delicious. Unknown to Mr. Stoker, he got to meet a real vampire when I paid him a visit one dreary English evening in the year 1899. I was very sweet to him. I asked him to autograph my book and gave him a big kiss before I left. I almost drank some of his blood, I was tempted, but I thought it would have ruined any chance he w

I had to keep studying—this was the only way I could avoid his gaze and his presence. After a few more pages, my eyes drifted to the large bookshelf along the living room wall. It was filled with thick volumes, most in Latin or old English. Slowly, I stood and approached it. My fingers brushed over a spine, trying to read the titles. Anatomi Licanthropica, Genealogy of Packs, Mutatio Lupus. I pulled one out, nearly choking when I saw its contents—pages full of strange illustrations: skeletal figures half-transformed into wolves, notes on dual circulatory systems, and countless terms unfamiliar to me.

“It’s pretty interesting, actually. And could be a disaster now that I’m thinking about it. Lucas told me there are a handful of vampires who don’t want to assimilate, and they go around trying to make things difficult for those who have. I’m not sure the specific details, but he made it sound like these vampires are going after the businesses he owns or something like that. Basically fucking shit up in order to get back at him for following the rules of the Vampire Council. Three vampires showed up at my house last night after they got my address from Eliza, Lucas’s vampire daughter or sister or whatever you’d call her, and he was not happy.” “Oh, wow. That is interesting and you’re right.

The god laugh, "you have no idea. None the less, all those souls belong to me. When they die, they come right to me to be tortured." That was when realisation hit Dracula. He leant forward to see under the hood, only to jump back in fright and stumbled over. All he saw was a skull with a red glow around it. There were no eyes, nose, or mouth. "You are Hades, maybe you can help me." Dracula grabbed a hold of Hades' cloak, instantly feeling his life force draining away. Hades looked at him and smiled, "I don't do favours." "Please, I beg of you? I don't want to die from this plague." Dracula plead.
