The Alpha’s Shadow Luna
A voice that might have been my own, or might have been the shattered remnant of a bond I thought was gone.
Just hold on.
Leah
I ran.
The corridor beyond the iron doors was short. Twenty feet, maybe thirty, lined with candles that burned with a sickly green flame, casting the stone in a light that made my skin look corpse-pale. The smell hit me halfway down. Incense. Something herbal, chemical, designed to mask what was beneath it. A mating ritual preparation. The scent of nymph toxin, sweet, cloying, with an undercurrent that made my wolf snarl.
