BLADE 3. Pain. It was all I felt when I shot my eyes opened. I felt so sore and tired. The memories of how Lorenzo plunged deeper into me last night filled my mind. He was so cruel to me. She saw the red dragon soaring down for another attack when she suddenly transformed into her phoenix and broke through the wall. Fueled by anger, the Phoenix flew directly into the red dragon, slicing his neck open. He tried to sink his teeth into her, and she kicked him with both feet. He quickly sunk his talon into her thigh, and she screeched in pain. The dragon hit her in the head with his powerful tail and knocked her out. Cyrus had her now, and he took off with her in his talons.

Feeling the scorn pressing in from all sides, I could only manage a bitter smile. Suddenly, with an ear-splitting crash, the Fire Dragon Princess smashed the desk in front of Aithne. “You little bitch, give me back my ruby jewels.” I spun round. Jessica had snatched Aithne by the scruff and hurled her against the wall. Morpheus didn’t even have time to blink. When the dust cleared, Aithne’s face was a mask of blood, and she was howling. Fire Dragons outnumbered Ice Dragons by a mile, and their clan was far stronger.

The red-eyed creature lunged. Darkness exploded across the battlefield. It swallowed the remains of the Trial of Two Hearts. Mountains of black mist rose into the sky. Each one took the shape of snarling beasts with glowing crimson eyes. Their roars shook the heavens. Kael tightened his grip on the silver blade. The weapon felt alive. It pulsed with every beat of his heart, like it had been waiting centuries for his touch. Beside him, Rhydian held the golden blade. The moment their shoulders brushed, both swords began to hum. Silver and gold light intertwined, forming invisible threads between them.

She knew Draven would try to hinder her journey, so she was ready for it. As the first wave of birds dived toward her, she swiftly drew her blade and struck with precision. The silver gleamed as it sliced through the air, meeting its mark with deadly accuracy. Each strike was fluid and controlled, her movements were a practiced dance of survival. The enchanted blade cut through the dark magic infusing the birds, causing them to burst into clouds of black smoke as they perished.

I asked Abeloth. “Are you asking for my help?” he asked me. “Fine, I’ll slay this dragon all on my own,” I said as I pulled the knife out and grabbed the dragon’s horn. I swung myself over the dragon’s head as he tried to bite onto me and stuck the knife deep in his neck and pulled down on my weight. The knife’s blade started cutting through the dragon’s thick skin and when I reached his most vulnerable place where his chest and neck met, I pulled the knife out.

I would never back away from my destiny. I waited until he swooped in low and threw a bola around his leg-my aim true, my goal to kill him within my grasp. My landing on his back was perfect. I could feel his soft scales beneath me. That is until I thrust my blade as hard as I could between those scales. I forfeited my life to save my sisters in white. His damned scales hardened when my blade met his body and the blade slid off. Pain lanced through my arm and into my shoulder. I struck again in fury. No matter how many times I tried, he remained unscathed. No dragon's blood to carry into death.
