Dragon Shifters Novels & Stories

I’d expected bright red to match my hair, but this dark cherry shade was even better. With a powerful beat of my wings, I launched into the sky, soaring higher until I pierced the clouds. I looped and dove before an idea struck me, and I descended, hovering near the treetops before landing gracefully—effortless, as if I’d done it a thousand times. Cece, why don’t I have a another inner voice? I asked. "For other shifters, the human and animal sides have separate souls. But for dragons, both forms share one soul. That’s why you can partially shift—full human, full dragon, or a hybrid with wings and scales. Other shifters only manage claws or eyes," she explained.

Maybe she was unwed. Cyra led us to another stall, one with fine jewels, most of them set in gold, rather than the silver I so adored. "You haven't said a word since we arrived, what's wrong?" Cyra enquired, but I brushed her off and fingered one of the few pieces made of silver. It was a dragon necklace, the head coming to a stop at the pinnacle and the tail wrapping around the neck. Wings branched out from its sides, most likely brushing against the bottom of the wearers throat. Sheer fascination, that's what we were to the humans. Some even feared and despised us deeply, but for all they knew, we did not exist anymore. The brutes who had slaughtered their forefathers and ate their naughty

“Master, what would you like us to do? You need only whisper your command, and we will follow.” Evrah grabbed the wood harder, her gaze darting quickly from left to right, trying to get a closer look. She spotted a big shimmering black dragon that seemed to be looking right at her. The big eye blinked, its big frame fidgeting a bit. A huge black and silver mass of scales and muscles sat directly across from her, its ginormous purple eyes had her dead to rites, and they both knew it. “Please don't give me way,” she whispered, shaking from fear. She cursed that her curiosity had gotten her noticed. The dragon blinked a final time and averted its eyes somewhere else as if it had heard her whisp

I chuckled, "I hope not too." Aidinth asked, "What are you laughing at?" I chuckled, "Saige. She's trying to figure out how we are going to change. For werewolves, we just have to mark them on the new moon." Aidinth said, "It's kind of the same thing, except it is done in a sacred area. I've never actually seen it done, but dad said it's like a ceremony. Selene will guide us through it." I said, "Is Selene the dragon goddess too?" He replied, "She is for the shifters. For the actual dragons, that do not shift, that is Tiamat." I said, "I didn't even know there were any more actual dragons. I don't need to see one though. I think being the shifter kind is good for me." Aidinth laughed and sai

The scream that erupted from Layla's mouth was bloodcurdling and it echoed deep into the forest. A bright purple wave pushed out of her body and slammed into every shifter that stood around her. It broke through the barricade the lycans had formed and struck the dragon in the heart.

All his affairs were in order and Drake learned that instead of wanting to run, Markus was awaiting judgment. “You know she is the one who has been charged with collecting me once all the guardians get there.” “I didn’t know.” “Do you all of the guardians? All the species on the council?” “No.” “Well, there is Dominik; the Ascendant. Michelle; wolf shifter. Bethany; dragon shifter. Luke; lion shifter. Darren; bear shifter. Jacob; fox shifter. Lily; tiger shifter. Nigel; cougar shifter. Keira; coyote shifter. Helena; leopard shifter. Ian; cheetah shifter. Then of course there is Cade, leader of the Elysians. They are teleporters and telekinetic. I won’t be able to lie.”

What did I do? “It would appear Katla I have granted what you all wanted. Let me call my mate over.” I open a link to Derek. “Derek are you there?” “Yes love, what is it?” “I need you, the wolves and Aspen to come here. I’m going to need your help.” “What for?” “I believe I just granted the dragons the ability to shift.” “On my way.” “Okay Katla please gather the dragons. We will help you shift. It may feel disorienting going for four legs to two. Prince Aspen and Derek are on their way as well. Derek and the other wolves will help you all shift.”

While she wasn’t the largest dragon in existence, she certainly wasn’t the smallest. Fortunately, dragon shifters were purely magical beings. Thus, when they shifted, their clothes shifted with them, unlike wolf shifters who shredded any clothes they were wearing with every shift. She would have seriously hated having to replace her brand new brown chiffon knee length halter dress and four-inch heel lace-up sandals.

Mina scowled at the shifter's cold tone but without fear held her head high and approached the gigantic man. Murdok’s presence loomed over Mina, and she swore his breath was hotter than actual flames. The enormous dragon tucked his wings into his back as far as possible and shrank to his knees, still holding Rori like she weighed nothing. Mina watched as he bought her small body out away from him and as the witch put her healing hands over Rori’s still trembling body, she peered out from the corner of her eye and watched the tension wash away from the almost feral dragon shifters face as Rori made small satisfied cooing sounds. Mina licked her lips as she caug

“No, just rare. They are shifters. The oldest ones. They were basically a failed Fae experiment. They have their own magic and it’s suspected that the Fae used their own essence or genes to make them. That was a mistake they soon learned not to copy. They are slowly becoming extinct. Dragons hide in some of the most inhospitable mountain ranges where humans won’t go, and planes avoid.” “Wow. Does Hectric know about them?” “Gods, I hope not. That would be a living nightmare.” “Would they help?” “I don’t know. I’ve actually never met one.” “Oh. Fine, I’ll stay, for now. But if anything changes, we talk about it. I don’t want to be dragged from pillar to post without having a say in it. I can’t
