' Levi's hand trembled as he typed and sent. 'You… Fuck! This is such an unexpected move!’ 'Hell let loose! Goner!’ ‘Is he okay? Nova’s POV “Are you just going to stand there and keep staring, or are you going to come claim your spot, Mrs Adams?” Levi’s voice pulled me out of my imagination, and I blinked at him like a deer caught in well, in sexy mood lighting. He had already spread out on the floor, leaning back against a bean bag, his legs stretched out and one arm casually resting on a pillow. He looked so relaxed, so completely in his element, it was unfair.

The boy raised the paper loudly and said: “Dad, mom, look, Miss Mindi says you draw very well.” Levi's drawings are very different from children of his age, since he was a child Levi has shown a rare talent for painting. Violet always let Levi draw freely on the wall and everywhere he wanted, making Levi more creative. Dominic pampered Levi, picked him up, and kept praising him as if Levi was a genius. After Violet accepted to bring Levi back to live with Dominic, Dominic immediately changed his son's name from Levi Taylor to Levi Barker and announced it to everyone.

LEVI Levi slammed the door to his room in anger as he made his way over to the mini-bar. He needed something to drink to calm his nerves after what had just happened. He couldn't actually believe that Alexa had spoken to him rudely and to make matters worse, she acted as if what she did was okay and she totally didn't care if he was the alpha of the pack or not. He picked a bottle of alcohol from the rack and poured himself a half filled glass before he took a long sip, feeling the liquid burn down his throat.

Levi reached towards the bedside table and pulled open the first drawer, taking out a small blue bottle. Noah vigilantly followed his brother-in-law’s actions with his eyes, trying his hardest to suppress the urge to cover his eyes. A futile effort, for when Levi turned to face him once again, not only was he still very much naked, but he also…! He locked eyes with her and a warm feeling filled his chest. She was beautiful. And so very pure and untouched.

She raised a brow at him. “Can you even draw?” Levi puffed his chest and gave a dramatic shrug. “Of course. I can draw... definitely,” he added, his voice full of playful pride. “Okay then, artist Alpha.” She sat up straight, fixing her hair behind her ears, ready to be his muse. Levi placed the sketchbook on his lap, picked up the pencil. “No peeking. I mean it.” He said. She almost laughed. “I won’t look, I promise.”

He flexed his hands, clenching and unclenching his fists as he repeated the motions a few times until he was used to the brass knuckles and felt confident enough he could punch someone without hurting himself in the process. Half an hour later, Levi made his way to his car, his box tucked safely under his arm. Mrs Ackerman was still at his place, cleaning out the fridge when he arrived. He spent a few minutes reminding her about the importance of discretion; she could certainly learn a thing or two from Angela. There'd be no raise for her for a very long time. "I'm sorry," she replied meekly, her head cocked to the side slightly. "I thought the lass knew."
