After the boys had left my room, I went through my bag and pulled out my favorite book, Night Flame, by Catherine Hart. I sat back in my chair by the window, prepared to spend the rest of the afternoon reading when a shiver ran down my spine. Milena~ I blink countless times, staring at the book. The Goddess has cursed me with another nightmare. Something strong enough to make me go crazy. It’s a nightmare; however, I can’t say for certain because the book is an inch away. I pluck it off the shelf, flipping pages, making sure it’s the exact book. My mind tangles as my head swirls. Closing the book, a sigh breaks through my throat. I’m not dreaming. I'm holding the book. Same book gifted to me years ago.

I would have to ask questions tomorrow, because I fear I might grow more confused if I kept on reading the book. Even now, the book called to me, but I was too exhausted. I hurried back between the covers of my bed, awaiting morning when I would ask Damian more questions and gain some clarity about everything, and most importantly understand why I had to read this book. No distractions. Just me. And my thoughts. Taking a bite of my burger, I glanced toward the stack of books sitting on my shelf. I had never enjoyed reading much. Normally, I could barely sit still long enough to finish a chapter. Now they might be my only source of entertainment. A groan escaped me. If sleep didn't come easily tonight, this was going to be a very long week. And something told me those strange dreams weren't finished with me yet.
